Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. The house has been completely renovated this year and looks very inviting with a ceiling for the kitchen and an exit to a large south-west facing wooden terrace. The house also has 3 good bedrooms and a completely new bathroom.

The house is refurnished, and everything is welcoming and delicious. What you hear when you open the Balcony-doors, is the sound of the waves and the wind in the trees. A mix of warm wooden panelling, large widows, a spacious garden, and a wood-burning stove. Cosy, well-equipped kitchen, open-plan living space, and three bedrooms, it’s an ideal space for slow mornings, walks to the beach and exploring on the beautiful north coast of Denmark.

Small garden cottage 23m2, centrally located

The small cottage in my garden is only available for short term rental, max 45 days. It sleeps 23m2: bedroom, living room with kitchenette and toilet shower. The cottage is not big but clean and pleasant. In the bedroom, there is a bed 120 cm wide (1-2 people) and in the living room a 90 cm bed/sofa (1 person).
