Sei es für Wasserratten oder Kitesurfer (30 Min. bis zur Nordsee und 60 Min. bis zur Ostsee), für Golfer (10 Min. bis Gut Apeldör), Radfahrer (viele Ausflugsziele wie z.B. Friedrichstadt oder Kanal33 in ca. einer Stunde zu erreichen) ist Tellingstedt ein guter Startpunkt. Auch Tagesausflüge nach Lübeck (Altstadt), Kiel, Bad Segeberg (Karl-May-Festspiele), Hamburg oder auf die Halligen bzw. Helgoland sind entspannt machbar.
