Admire Local Art at a Boutique Studio Perched on a Hill

This fun and brand new space was designed with comfort in mind. The living area has 2 comfy chairs, a coffee table adorned with beautiful books and a small dining table. Although the kitchenette is small it has every thing you need to cook a meal from an induction burner to a toaster oven. Can't decide if you want espresso? A french press? A one cup Keurig? Have them all! There is also cinnamon and nutmeg for sprinkling. I provide yummy snacks like popcorn with black truffle salt, filtered cucumber water in the fridge, lime infused ice cubes (perfect for gin and tonics) complimentary beverages and light breakfast. This space is exclusive to our guests so open the drawers and cupboards, we are sure you will find what you need. The bathroom is appointed with a full medicine cabinet, organic bath products, hairdryer and a hot towel warmer for makeup removal. The bedroom has a queen bed with a pillow top, pillow covers, Allergin mattress cover and high quality linens. There is no shortage of blankets or pillows! Bedroom also has a smart tv with Netflix, a writing desk with a printer for our business travelers and a cozy sitting nook. The nightstands are stocked and there are nightlights to help you find your way in the dark. There are blinds and darkening shades, as well as a sound machine for blissful sleep. In the closet there is a fan, full length mirror, iron, ironing board, hand sanitizer, games and plush robes. There is a guidebook filled with all of our favorite local joints and free maps for you to take as you navigate our lovely little city.Our goal is for our guests to leave happier and more relaxed than when they arrived. This private and serene space is solely for the guest. There are no shared spaces. This is a cozy apartment but it is attached to our home. There may be everyday life noises but we are pretty quiet and there will be nothing excessive or loud. Our home is perched on the top of a small hill so please park in the designated "guest parking" to ensure that you can successfully turn around in the driveway rather than backing down. I live on site so I am always available but I will also respect your privacy. Beautiful north Asheville is a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the historic Grove Park Inn for a drink in front of one of the great fireplaces or on the veranda. Make the short walk to the local brewery and popular restaurants. There is a bus stop a few blocks away. An Uber ride is usually available within minutes and takes about 5 minutes to get to downtown. $7 Uber ride. Although there are plenty of parking options, downtown gets busy so Uber is always a good choice! We have a lovable golden retriever who is well behaved and not in the guests space. He rarely barks (just occasionally at cartoons.) This space is perfect for couples, solo and business travellers. There is a pack and play upon request but the space is not child proofed. If you have bikes, we have a large garage for storage. We also have access to discount tickets for dining, facials, shopping, massages and local tours.

Retro Vintage-West Asheville/induction cooking!

My home is a safe space for all folks. Guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientation are welcome 🙏 Embrace the alluring aesthetics of this completely smoke/vape free property, including all outdoor areas . The residence features a vibrant dark blue interior contrasted by bright yellow surfaces, antique furnishings, vintage art, and varied motifs. Urban Abode is decorated in what I like to call "Retro Vintage Modern." There are lots of DVDs,magazines, books and games ( please note that the TV is for DVDs only.)for you to enjoy.Please note that Urban Abode is a private/separate entrance lower level apartment with limited Natural light-That said what I lack in natural light I make up for with an EXCELLENT LOCATION and a very well appointed eclectically decorated space :) You will have access to the entire apartment.And a small seating area right outside your door. Just let me know if there is anything that you need. I am here to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible! West Asheville is a unique city neighborhood with lots of fun places to visit, including restaurants, breweries,massage school, bookstore, coffee shops,Yoga studio, live music and much more. Visit the Isis Music Hall for an elegant dinner and concert. Craving a burger and milkshake? Try the Comfort Diner. There are lots of families, skateboarders, and friendly people. I am just a seven minute uber ride to downtown. Parking is plentiful. Please note that this is an old House and with that comes charm but also one hot water heater that we all share. Also there are other travelers and myself in the house so you will of course hear the joyful noise of life around you. That said please observe a “quiet time” after 11 PM.

Privacy, peaceful, sweet comfortable apartment in a small community right outside the city of Asheville. We have miniature goats, most of the year with goat babies (kids), and chickens (no roosters) and while you do not have to interact with them, if you love animals, you will enjoy it here!
