Sleeping places in the countryside, bakery, homestay

We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, purely minimalist! Adventure instead of luxury.

Vacation in the countryside

On our listed 300 year old farm we offer: two separate apartments for each 4 persons, with kitchen-living room, bathroom and bedroom with two floors each and about 50 square meters each. We are situated in the Südeichsfeld, a plush hilly low mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, a visit to the bear park Worbis or excursions to nearby half-timbered cities are popular excursion destinations.

Our apartment is located between Göttingen and Duderstadt, near the Harz Mountains with many outdoor possibilities. The bright, cozy apartment is located on the first floor of a former restaurant and measures about 60 m². Very close to Lake Seeburg, the medieval town of Duderstadt and the university town of Göttingen, the small town of Bodensee is located in the middle of Eichsfeld. From here you can explore the surroundings by foot or by bike as part of smaller and larger bike tours. The Harz National Park with Northern Germany's highest mountain, the Brocken, is suitable for hiking.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, but in close reach to university, UMG, Nord-Uni several research institutes. The 4 bedrooms comfortably sleep 8 people and is ideal for families or bigger groups. With an open dining- and living room and separate kitchen the house presents lots of living space.

The cozy and modern apartment is on the first floor and has its own garden access.
