Oasis on the countryside near Hamburg

Northwest of Hamburg in beautiful Schleswig Holstein is our lovingly furnished 48 sqm apartment with terrace and garden. There is a kitchen with stove, oven and refrigerator, a shower room and bedroom with double bed and TV. In the immediate vicinity is a small lake. The rural quiet location is ideal for a break, bike tours and inline skating, but also offers a good starting point for trips to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea or to Hamburg, Kiel and Glückstadt.

Horst's time out

My time-out Horst stands for real picture book country life. There are cows, chickens, donkeys and fields nearby. And the tranquility, of course. The Elbe and the dyke can be reached in 15-20 min. by car. Here you will find a real beach and a delicious snack and suitable refreshment in summer. You can also reach Hamburg in 30 minutes. In about 3 km. Distance is the Horster train stop. There is a parking space and bicycle parking spaces.

The 60 sqm apartment is on the top floor of a detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac location on the outskirts of Hamburg. I live on the ground floor. A supermarket is a 10-minute walk away, and the nearest bus stop is 3 minutes away. By bus and train or by car, you can reach Hamburg in about 40 minutes. The apartment offers 3 bedrooms, a large bathroom, a kitchen-living room and a spacious hallway. Stable fiber optic network is available.

Between the orchards

Welcome to Altes Land, Germany's largest fruit growing area with its numerous orchards. Here you can relax wonderfully, especially cycling through apple orchards or to the nearby Elbe. For shopping, we recommend the Hanseatic city of Hamburg (about 45 minutes by car) or the cozy cities of Stade (20 minutes) and Buxtehude (12 minutes). The in-law is located in Kellinghusen in the immediate vicinity of the Stör and the Aukrug Nature Park. The scenic surroundings in and around Kellinghusen offers many possibilities for outdoor activities, e.g. for canoe tours and excursions by bike. The outdoor swimming pool of Kellinghusen is right around. The train station from Wrist with train connections to Hamburg, Kiel, Neumünster, Pinneberg and Elmshorn is only 5 km away.

The apartment is a 5-minute walk from Barmstedt city center, where there are supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies and other shops. A swimming pool and a swimming lake are also within walking distance. The apartment is located on the first floor and is barrier-free. The apartment itself was refurbished and renovated in 2022. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, walk-in shower, sink and mirror.

Arrive and feel-good! The in-law with separate entrance is located in a traffic-calmed single-family housing estate in the immediate vicinity of Lake Rantzauer. Train connection (AKN) can be reached on foot in 12 minutes. The city center offers various shopping opportunities and is also in walking distance. The apartment is very well equipped. The bed is 1.40 m in size.
