It is located on a farm that was purchased in 1935 by John McCaleb our Grandfather, GreatGrandfather that we call PapaJohn. Surrounding properties are farms containing thousands of acres. Piney River is scenic and has a canoe company that will take you to get into a canoe and float 5 miles to fish, swim or just enjoy the scenery in a quaint neighborhood

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Whispering Waters Cabin by the Creek

Whispering Waters offers a quiet space to relax and enjoy your time spent away from home. It is a four room cabin adjacent to Caney Fork Creek, which feeds into the South Harpeth River in Fernvale. The cabin easily hosts four guests. The queen size bed is complimented by a sleeper sofa in the living room, which sleeps two as well. It's an intimate space located in a lovely setting. River Run Cottage at Horseshoe Bend Farm

Welcome to River Run Cottage! Our 280 acre farm has views of the beautiful Duck River Valley & has 3 mi. of private river frontage. The cottage is located adjacent to our winery tasting room, open Thurs. - Sunday. (Horseshoe Bend Farm Wines) We also grow blueberries and offer picking opportunities for a real farm experience. Canoeing/Kayaking, Fishing, Hunting, Horseback Riding, ATV and Hiking experiences located nearby. Near I40, Loretta Lynn’s Ranch and 1 hr. to Nashville.

We hope you’ll enjoy this unique covered bridge conversion, expanding from bank to bank with a 50-foot front deck. Breakfast provided the first day includes fresh fruit, a half dozen eggs, and muffins, coffee and tea.

Historic Chester Cabin near Nashville and Franklin

The historic Chester cabin is in the heart of Fairview. The living room is part of the original log cabin built in 1807 during the early settlement of the area. The cabin has been beautifully renovated to perserve the history and the quaint charm of a bygone era. The cabin is conveniently located to both Nashville and Franklin, just a 25 min drive North or East. Grab a book and your favorite coffee or tea and step back in time with this charming cabin.

Know before you book! Unique, Nature immersion stay. Rural location near Nashville, TN. Private gated driveway separate from owner’s driveway. Forest stay in underground cedar Gully huts where you walk between structures and separate bathhouse. You won't run into anyone, this is a secluded getaway. Collect eggs, pick berries or hang out by the fire pit, hike to the creek and waterfalls, but don’t forget to pack bug spray and a sense of adventure!

Welcome to our guest house, located on the Piney River in Dickson County. This private, gated home is located only a few miles off of I-40, 10 minutes from downtown Dickson, and 45 minutes from downtown Nashville. This private space is above the garage and features 650 sq ft of livable space, an office area with wifi, as well as a refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, toaster, and a TV with plenty of cable channels (plus a fire stick for streaming).
