John Adams and a veteran who served in the Allied occupation of Japan following WWII. Going further back, this was one of the first areas to be settled. It was part of the "Sims Settlement" and was defended during the War of 1812 by James and William Slaughter. Settlers farmed the fertile land near Indian Creek, now called the Indian Creek Greenway - 4 mins away.
