Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Escape into the forest at the Ursa Minor cabin. Built in 2017, this comfortable and tranquil getaway includes a full kitchen, bathroom with a cedar-lined shower, electric in-floor heat, a wood stove, warm pine siding throughout, and a spacious sleeping loft. A covered porch, fire pit and fully-stocked woodshed are right outside the door. Your stay includes access to more than ten kilometers of trails traversing hundreds of acres of private woodland originating steps from your door.

Scenic and peaceful with a charming rustic cabin. Take a stroll through our enchanted forest on your way to the lake. The bridge will take you there! Once on the lake relax on our floating deck! Our sunsets are lovely, and nature surrounds you. We are located on Long Lake which has no public access so it’s very quiet. Bring your kayaks for some amazing bird and turtle watching. Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!

Also, 5 minute walk away from Lake Minnewaska public boat landing and public beach. Or enjoy a nice walk to go downtown Glenwood to enjoy all the city has to offer!! Oland Villa, named after a small island and province just off the southeast coast of Sweden, is a two-bedroom, one-bath, dog-friendly unit offering a single full bed in one room and twin bunks in the other. The living room has a pullout sofa for additional sleeping space. Kitchens are fully stocked with basic cooking essentials and panoramic views of Lake Osakis. All units have central air and heat, all bedding linens, bath towels plus basic kitchen essentials are provided.
