“Beautiful house in the middle of—well, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Which, of course, is the point. This home (which, by the way is much larger-feeling than the photos suggest) is about 3km off the main road leading to Laugarvatn, which itself is in the heart of the Golden Circle. It is about 1.5 hours from KEF airport. It would be kind of difficult to find in the dark, so if you're coming in winter, plan accordingly!”
Modern, spacious and comfortable rooms with private bathrooms located in the small village called Laugarvatn in the heart of the Golden Circle area. The whole building was renovated 2018 and everything in the facility is new with trendy design and fair price. The Guesthouse will be ready from July 1st 2018. More pictures of the facility will be available shortly. You will have comfortable rest in the Guesthouse after taking many great day trips to explore magnificent nature in south Iceland.
“We stayed here for a local bike race for one night in the summer. The location is excellent and easy to find, the check in was smooth and the space perfect with all the amenities in place needed for a comfortable stay. All was clean on arrival and communication was smooth. This place is perfect for couples travelling along the golden circle or Iceland with a small convenience store close by and GEYSIR tourism centre just 20 minutes away by car.”
This CHARMING NEW COTTAGE is near NATURE WONDERS in the South of Iceland, the "Golden Circle". As other old traditional farms in Iceland, Eyvindartunga is a sheep farm. Fourth generation lives on the farm, with some 200 ewes who roam freely with their lambs, during summer. Since the year 1929, we have been harnessing the river Sandá, producing now annually ca. 5 GWh of electrical energy for both the farm itself and the nearby area, including the nearby village Laugarvatn.
“A fabulous listing with everything provided for a long or short stay. Great location for exploring the Golden Circle. Comfy, warm, plenty yh of hot water. Washer and dryer a bonus. Hosts very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.”
