This brand new private room with a private entrance is located in a unique spot, right under the mountains, below a waterfall, with a glacier on one side and with a clear ocean view! Less than a 10 minutes drive from Glacier lagoon, this rural county has been one of the most isolated areas in Iceland, but now offers so many activities and is the perfect location for exploring the South coast. The room is very bright and includes a private bathroom with a walk-in rain shower.
“Beautiful place! Clean and stylish. Easy check in! It is up a small hill, with beautiful views. Was fine getting up there in the snow. There arent any restaurants or shops nearby so either bring a picnic or plan where to go for food. We went to Jon Riki which was 30 mins drive away. Make sure you fill up on petrol too as it's a little way from a petrol station. Highly recommend this beautiful and secluded place for an amazing Icelandic south coast road trip! We had the best time here :)”
A small but cosy apartment on the lower floor. Very close to Skaftafell, a national park. A very popular tourist area. Close to Vatnajökull and Öræfajökull, 40 mín drive from Jökulárlón.
“What a comfortable place! Super close to Skaftafell National Park (5-10 mins from Visitor Center), we were so glad to find this welcoming apartment where we could warm up after a rainy day and relax. Everything is there for an overnight or longer stay, and Baldur was very welcoming and helpful.”
Enjoy the views of Vatnajökull Glacier in your own private cabin. This is a fully licensed family run accommodation. Nearby, you will find beautiful hiking trails and various activities, including glacier hiking, snowmobile or jeep tours and boat tours on glacier lagoons.
“This was an adorable little cabin with everything one needed! You CANNOT beat that morning view!! Absolutely beautiful, amazing, incredible, astonishing, (did I mention incredible?) breathtaking view of the glacier. Due to an impassable F-road mix-up, we didn't get to enjoy this cabin nearly as much as we wanted to. But the host was very accommodating and opened it up and turned the heating on for us for our very, very late check in. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying on the eastern side of the country.”
