Enjoy the tranquility of the Icelandic countryside in our home on an authentic working farm. Off the beaten track, yet close to natural wonders, recreation and the beauty of northern Iceland. In the summer, we have light nights, and in the winter multi-colored northern lights light up the sky.
“Perfect place for perfect host, Close to Akureyri, Husavik and of course Myvatn, ideal for discover without drive a lot. Marteinn and Asta take care of their visitors as if they take part of their family, they kindly invite you to have diner or coffee after a long trip, advise you about good and safe place/road, and you can talk easily with them about everything. They are so warm that you will forget the cold of the north! Thank you again Marteinn and Asta Vincent and Benoît”
Cozy and private beautiful apartment. Renovated in June 2018. The apartment is on ground floor with private entrance. The apartment is well located next to down town Akureyri and in a walking distance to many restaurants, pubs and culture. The apartment has one bedroom with two new and comfortable 90 cm beds and a kitchen with everything necessary to prepare a meal. The bathroom is really nice with a great shower. Free parking and TV with free entertainment. Also free WIFI.
“Nice, spotless clean Apartment in the usual AirBnB-IKEA-chick. Not a bad thing though, you will find everything you need and it's perfectly located in the center of the town. A bit more "cosy finish" would be nice though. I was tempted to give just stars because of that but as I wrote: You won't miss anything!”
The summerhouse is standing in a very beautiful and scenic place up in the west side of Mánafell, with Skjálfandafljót flowing smoothly past underneath.
“Unsteinn's summer house is awesome! Otherwise, I can not put into words our nine-day stay. Great location in the middle of nature in absolute silence, a great view of the river and the birds living there. The house offers everything your heart desires, is very tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. Only and alone the driveway to the house with a normal car because of the deep gutters a bit challenging but feasible. Definitely a day for a hike directly from the house upstream to Lachssee schedule (with waterfall!)”
