The Cottage at Gilbert Landing

This cozy 1955 Sears & Roebuck kit house has been brought back to life! We vaulted ceilings and removed walls, but kept the original footprint. It is just the right size for a getaway for 2 - 4 with 1 private bedroom and a sleeping loft. It has all the modern conveniences and is nestled at Gilbert Landing, 1 mile from downtown and 15 min to TIEC. We are dog-friendly, with host approval. There is a $99 pet fee for one dog. No dogs under 1 year. Additional pet & cleaning fees longer stays.

Cozy cottage with one bedroom (queen bed) and bath has been completely remodeled with new hardwood floors, granite counter tops, kitchen appliances and w/d. There is a nice little deck out back with a charcoal grill or enjoy a quiet evening around the fire pit out front. Five minutes to Rutherford Hospital, easy access to TIEC, the nearby blueridge mountains, historic Asheville and Hendersonville or if you are looking for something different you could easily visit Charlotte or Greenville SC.

Recently remodeled brick ranch with everything on one level. Pet friendly with a large fenced-in backyard. The house is centrally located in Forest City, where hiking and many outdoor activities are accessible. There's a city park across the treeline in front of the house which has tons of space, places to walk your dog, run the track, play/watch baseball, frisbee or take kids to the playground. There's enough to do if seclusion is your goal or plenty of things to venture out and experience.

IMPORTANT: There will be house construction in front of this Airbnb from Mon-Fri and some weekends. We apologize for the inconvenience.
