Welcome to our mountain retreat! We are just outside of Cedar Mountain, 15 min. south of Brevard and 15 min. from Dupont State Forest known for outstanding hiking, mountain biking, and waterfall hopping. Twenty minutes away from Pisgah National Forest with amazing mountain biking and hiking trails as well as fly fishing. You'll be able to enjoy starry skies and short range mountain views while warming up by the fire plus you can see blue ghost fireflies on the property during late spring.

Tranquility Oak on Lake Wanteska w/ beautiful view

Tranquility Oak is located on Lake Wanteska inside Connestee Falls, a gated community in the Western North Carolina mountain town of Brevard (20 minutes to downtown and 60 minutes to Asheville). Enjoy the private dock, swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking down at the lake. Breathe in the mountain air while enjoying the views from either the upper or lower deck. The house also has ping pong, a pool table, darts, and air hockey for those lazy days enjoyed inside.

Cottage at Gear Down

Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.
