Free on and off-street parking is available nearby. After parking there is a short, moderately steep path to the cottage. A 5 minutes' walk down to the town's restaurants, pubs & shops, and good transport links to Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Derby. Walkers can explore the High Peak Trail directly from the cottage.

The Wee House on the Hill is a perfect retreat for a relaxing get away. Country walks straight from the door or a short stroll down into Wirksworth, an ancient market town steeped in history. The cottage is located in one of the oldest parts of Wirksworth, where miners cottages were randomly built around the hillside with a unique maze of paths and 'ginnels' (alleyways). Lots of independent shops and cafes & quirky pubs. Not forgetting Wirksworth's very own 'cool' & independent cinema!

The barn is situated in a quiet conservation area, minutes from the heart of Wirksworth with outstanding views of the town and countryside. Being on the edge of the Peak District, it is an ideal base for exploring this part of England, with great walks from the doorstep . Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and many other attractions are just a short drive away.
