Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. Welcome to Mecklenburg on the Baltic Sea — in an orchard garden in a small village by a lake. The three-legged cat is called Traveller & loves guests. The shepherd’s wagons accommodate 1 to 4 (or 5) people. There’s a sunny terrace with a view of meadows, forest & pond, a fire pit, 3 bicycles & lots to discover. Nearby: forest (0.4 km), swimming lakes (1.5/4 km), hiking trail past churches (0.8 km), Baltic Sea (29 km), Schwerin, Wismar, Lübeck, horses & beautiful Mecklenburg countryside.

Family-friendly vacation in Uhlehuus

The apartment is part of a thatched farmhouse from 1850. In 2012, we carefully awakened the Uhlehuus from its slumber and restored it sustainably. The apartment is located in the main house, where we also live, but is completely separated and forms a self-sufficient unit with its own entrance, and its own large terrace with garden. The spacious property is fenced. Your children and your four-legged friends can romp undisturbed and make friends with sheep and goats.

Poel Island, overlooking the Baltic Sea

The island of Poel is the youngest Baltic Sea resort in Germany. Our house "Poeler Mother Goose" is located in the middle of the nature reserve overlooking the Baltic Sea and the opposite skyline of Wismar. Especially in the off-season, we can enjoy the natural spectacle of migratory and breeding birds directly from our terrace. It is 800 meters to the natural beach, and all other beaches are accessible by bike. The island is perfect for families and nature lovers.

Relax with the whole family at this beautiful place. Our vacation home is quietly located in a village of 15 inhabitants in a small forest. It is wonderfully quiet and invites you to relax. Especially for families with children, our farm is a nice place to relax and unwind. In the large garden with sheep, chickens and a cat, there are plenty of opportunities to play and explore. The Baltic Sea is a 35-minute drive away., Schwerin 20 minutes, Wismar 20 minutes.

Welcome to our dreamy and quiet vacation home - only 4 km from the Baltic Sea. In the middle of our wonderful orchard is our spacious house with a cozy eat-in kitchen, in which a fireplace provides coziness in cold weather. In summer, the large terrace with a shady apple tree invites you to eat together. In the lovingly developed adjoining house there is a sauna with bath and shower and an idyllic relaxation area with outdoor shower.

Our modern, newly renovated apartment is very spacious: cozy living room with large flat-screen TV, armchairs and a sofa bed. The quiet bedroom is equipped with an electrically adjustable box spring double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), large wardrobe. The kitchen with: dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stove with ceramic hob, oven, coffee maker, kettle, egg cooker, toaster. In the bathroom, there is a rain shower and a spacious washing area.
