In the woods, close to Innsbruck, you'll find the romantic and cosy cabin "Villa Kranebitten". A perfect place to relax or to start hikes from into the mountains. Very good public transport connections to Innsbruck (train, bus).
“Emiel’s cabin is a great place to stay! He welcomed us very friendly and also gave advice where we could best go hiking. There are also many maps in the cabin. The place looks exactly as in the pictures and is very spacious for a cabin. As the cabin is in direct neighborhood to other houses, we didn’t feel isolated, but still separate. It is also very easy to reach the accommodation by train. From the train station it’s only a three minute walk (maximum). We can really recommend this place!”

“We had mixed first impressions about this one. The serene hot tub pictures on Airbnb combined with the knowledge that we had to hike for 2km uphill to reach the hotel, made us both cautiously optimistic about this one. A few minutes into what they call an easy hike, I was somewhat displeased about all the stairs we had to climb. Thankfully the stairs gave way to a nice hike through winding roads and beautiful scenery. You won’t believe me when I say that this hotel, with the well-thought-out design, the breathtaking views from the jacuzzi, and the cosiest lounge, where you’re invited to just ease off and collect yourself, was not even the best part of this trip. Take a 3 hour hike (7 hours and 14 km roundtrip) and you’ll get to the most spectacular sights in Austria. The likes of torres del paine in Patagonia or Millford Sound in New Zealand.”
“Absolute peace, incredible views with a cozy, focused on essential Alm. Except for a few sheep next to in the stable you are alone at 1300m. Directly from the Alm go great hikes. So if you eat enough, you do not have to leave the mountain. Region is without ski resort and very natural. Manfred is the Alm top and safe equipped and is very helpful with the checkin. Without snowmobiling, it would have been difficult to come up. Thanks for this great time!”
