Dat Melkhus – North Sea air and sauna

North Sea air and sauna! Our detached vacation home "Dat Melkhus" was built in 1870 and is located in a small settlement with a quiet neighborhood. Here, at the turn of the century, butter was made by hand for the surrounding communities. Today, the once small house has been expanded to 140 square meters of living space and has been lovingly renovated by us since 2022. The quiet, secluded location, the wide view over the fields and the private sauna make the Deichoase an ideal retreat for couples, families and nature lovers. The sea or nearest swimming spot is 5-10 minutes away by car. Meldorf is the nearest town, about 10 minutes away by car, where, for example, shopping can be done.

Lovingly and with care, we have furnished our thatched cottage - in the hope that you and your family and / or friends will feel at home! A newly covered, local thatched roof, the restoration of the old dormer and a careful approach to the expansion in order to preserve as much as possible - that was important to us and characterizes this unique building. Unfortunately, we are not suitable for party groups!

norderdiekhuus is a light-flooded thatched roof house, directly on the dike and within walking distance to the beach, located on the edge of St. Peter-Ording. Breathe in and take a seat: in the upholstered armchair on the wooden terrace, on the bench in the floor-to-ceiling window, in the armchair by the fireplace or in our outdoor sauna at the edge of the meadow.
