The house is located in the middle of Schierensee, an idyllic village with about 400 inhabitants in the Westensee Nature Park. Here you are surrounded by a magnificent landscape, ideally suited for long hikes and bike tours. At the lake there is a swimming area with a great kiosk cafe, which is run with a lot of love and passion. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at Gasthof La Famiglia. A little secluded from the village, there is a large organic farm with a farm shop and cafe.

The entire building where the apartment is located consists of two houses with three residential units connected by a former blacksmith. The apartment is in the older part of the building and has its own apartment entrance door. After many excursions on foot, by bike or car (or whatever), it is the ideal retreat.

For your excursions between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, you have a nice starting point here. Flensburg, Schleswig and Kiel are quickly accessible by public transport or car. The train station is about 10 minutes away on foot.

The apartment, about 40 square meters, is located on the second floor in an old townhouse from 1905 in which we have also lived on the first floor for 20 years. Our renovation motto was: Reuse instead of throwing away. Not only we, but also chickens, cats and dogs are at home on our colorful and wild property.
