  • Great remote location you feel very secluded and private when in the hot tub and home. Comfy beds and nice living area perfect for a cosy winter stay like what we had and I should imagine great for a summer exploration stay aswell. We would definitely consider coming here again.

  • We spent Christmas at Toad Hall and had the most magical time. The house is so unbelievably beautiful and no picture can do it justice. The house had been decorated tastefully which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was just amazing and was well used on the cold nights! We would definitely go back again without hesitation. Thank you Katy! Xxx

  • A stay in one of Amber’s bell tents is an opportunity to spend some wonderful outdoor time, in touch with nature, whilst still enjoying life’s comforts. The barn in the glamping field has an array of games, such as table tennis, boules and badminton, as well as fishing nets for pond dipping, a bike to race around the grounds and some pen and paper activities. My kids were happy roaming and playing for hours on end without the need for organised activities. The tent itself is spacious and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And there are plenty of supplies to buy in the barn (via an honesty box system) to keep the BBQ sizzling and the log fires burning. Vases of fresh wild flowers and marshmallows to toast on the fire, were lovely thoughtful touches. The setting and location are excellent, with plenty of places to explore in the immediate surrounds and easy access by car to beautiful beaches and kids play parks. I spent the most amazing week here with my three children, bonding, laughing and snuggling. Absolutely beautiful times. Thank you 😊

    Nicki2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I found both the host and the location idealistic both in the nostalgia and the cleanliness. The location next to the manor are an added benefit for use of walks, peace and space. I went with children who found plenty to do. I was concerned initially as i thought this place might only suit young children of ages 9 and under as we generally camp in go active locations. However, my children being teenage years loved it. There is lots of local activities to do including fabulous beaches. steam trains, zoos, and water sports. The site itself is not over crowded and lots of space - well balanced. We made some good memories here.

  • What a fantastic place to get away from it all ...getting back to basics but in a very comfortable way ...my boys enjoyed every second and didn’t want to leave ...thanks for everything The Brundell’s x

  • We had a very relaxing time in one of Amber's bell tents this July. The beds and linens make for the best night's sleep camping I may have ever had. We slept like babies! And she even put out beds for our two babies, speaking of which - a wonderful host. We also appreciated all the very useful local tips. Thanks, Amber!

    Cecile2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic setting. Everything you need to live comfortably is in the tent. The inside stove is a wonderful addition. Amber was very easy to get through to and been extremely informative in the build up to our stay and during. Would highly recommend it for a group of friends looking for a comfortable green space break. Go see the seals at Blakeney point if you get the chance

    Joe2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a stunning stay. The photos don’t do it justice! The lovely detail and cosy touches in this stay made our trip very special. Nice and quiet and exactly what a get away is made for. Nice small village with a local shop and The Fox Pub nearby which we did not need as we utilised the stay to have some delicious home cooked food with the fire on. Norwich city centre a 30 min drive, and coast places also only a 30 min drive. Overall lovely place to relax and so ideal for winter months. Want to visit again already!

    Chloe2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely retreat especially in the cold weather! A nice bottle of wine added a special touch on arrival and the log fire made it feel cosy. Just be careful when following directions straight from the Air BnB app as we ended up on a neighbours property instead at first

    Leanne2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cosy! We loved our stay. Our pup enjoyed snuggling in his bed by the wood burner, when we finally got it going! (We’re townies!) Perfect little base for a couple of nights. Had dinner at The Fox the first night, nice food, staff were lovely, booking recommended, it’s only a 2 minute walk, there are paths but it was very dark and muddy so bring a torch! We had coffee and cake at Lyng Stores the following morning, we sat outside as dogs aren’t allowed in but it was a lovely sunny day and was nice to see locals coming in and out of the shop, felt like a little hub of the community, everyone was so friendly saying hello as they passed us. Would stay again, thanks for having us and for the bottle of wine

The cabin is a light comfortable carefully designed and newly built Scandanavian style self-contained building with a complete kitchen, separate shower room and pull down Very comfortable Queen sized bed. It has a television with integral DvD player and heating under the wooden floor. Great Wi-fi, Contemporary lighting. Please note that hot water runs for 5mins very hot then takes 30 mins to reheat to same temp. Please don't change the settings as this will blow the thermostat.
The cabin is in my garden, with parking and just one minute fom the quay And it’s own private patio.. It is central to the shops and restaurants and bars in lovely Wells. Twenty minutes walk to the beach. I make sure that essentials like tea and coffee are available. The bed is made up and there are lots of towels. Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid are also ready to go! The kitchen is well equipped for two guests.
Wells is lovely. The sea when the tide is up. Early mornings, the beach. The super independent shops, the pubs, cafes and delis. The ease of living in a small town with a bank, post office and friendly neighbours!
  • Perfect location. Perfect accommodation. Loved it! Will definitely be back! Thanks!

  • I absolutely loved my last minute booking for 2 nights with my dog. I’m certainly going to return as the cabin is very warm and comfortable with great facilities and in a brilliant location. Host was very welcoming and very quick to communicate when I booked. Many thanks

  • Kate's little cabin was really gorgeous and amazingly located, felt like we were in the perfect place to go and explore the local villages. It was easy to find and get into and you felt like you had your own little home - very private.

  • Lovely spacious cabin, private & quiet, great location, we had a fabulous time!

    Agnieszka2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a fab little cabin. The location couldn’t be better with a car parking space. It was clean and comfy with great use of the space. Perfect for a couple

    Peter2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the Cabin was incredible...so central to everything in Wells; lovely to have a parking space too! Check-in was so simple; Kate messaged to say the cabin was ready so we were able to check in early which was brilliant. The Cabin had everything we needed, although some bigger wine glasses would have been good. The underfloor heating had packed up unfortunately but Kate had left a blow heater and was very apologetic; the place heated up very quickly too so wasn’t a problem! Will definitely be returning.

  • Great location in Norfolk, short drive from the likes of Holkham, Wells, Burnham Market. Kate gave us lots of local tips and advice and communication was very good. The cottage itself is very cosy, well kitted out and there’s even a well stocked games cupboard. We also found the beds very comfortable! 10/10

  • A beautiful house, in a beautiful area.

    Ant2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great cosy cottage in an excellent location Clean and comfortable Friendly host and well equipped accommodation Recommend for short break or longer stay

    Tristan2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's cottage is really lovely - so cosy, clean and welcoming (it was great to walk in and find a tea tray set out on the table, complete with chocolate biscuits!) It's very well located with off road parking, but so quiet and has pleasant green views (and quite dark skies for stargazing). There are free range chickens outside the front door and a good sized enclosed rear garden. We enjoyed relaxing with the log burner in the evenings and slept really well under the feather duvets! Another stand out point is how well equipped the cottage is. Plenty of plates, cutlery, cooking utensils etc in the kitchen, extra toilet rolls - small points which really make a break easier. There's also a very well stocked games cupboard, and lots of books and DVDs. We loved our stay and would love to return for longer!

    Phil2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kate is an excellent host, really helpful and happy to share local knowledge.

    Paul2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

    Julie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage, very homely and attractive. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect winter retreat, a real home from home. We had had a busy few weeks so wanted somewhere where we could walk (Holkham beach was amazing), eat well (North Creake Abbey farm shop provided delicious hunker-down goodies when Storm Ciara kicked off) and sleep (comfy bed! - we hadn't slept so well in ages!) so it was a winner all round. Really clean and really welcoming, just lovely .

Regular check in messages from Alison and its was super easy to find and check in, only comment is that local transport is limited so would recommend having a car! Thanks a lot, loved staying here.

  • A perfect weekend away - a really lovely place to stay. Mark and Hetty made us feel very welcome, and it was a lovely space to relax and be unashamedly lazy! Some good pubs and walks close by, or if you don’t feel like going out, it’s great for a cosy night in.

  • The Old Laundry is cozy and cute! Well placed for exploring North Norfolk. Mark and Hetty are very friendly and helpful!

  • We had a lovely stay at The Old Laundry! Mark and Hetty greeted us on arrival and showed us around. They were exceptionally helpful with recommendations ahead of time. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed - they even stocked the fridge with eggs and milk and bread and butter. So thoughtful! Even equipped with a toy wooden train set and games for our 4 year old! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. We hope to come back again soon!!

    Allison2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great and peaceful time here. Mark and Hetty are very thoughtful hosts. We cooked many big meals in their fully stocked kitchen. Cooking using their everhot was also super fun for slow cooked stews!

    Taylor2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Laundry is a wonderful place to rest and relax. The space is beautiful, warm, stylish, peaceful, and cozy. It was the perfect base from which to explore the local sights. Mark and Hetty were very friendly and helpful hosts who made delicious fresh bread and marmalade for breakfast and had excellent recommendations for places to explore and eat. I look forward to visiting again!

    Christine2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Hetty were amazing hosts. They ensured they were there on our arrival, they had fresh bread waiting for us as well as homemade marmalade. They were available before our trip to give advice on local places to eat, as well as them having an online guide and a folder in the property. Such a lovely couple and a lovely place to stay. Look forward to going back. Faye & Tim

Really quiet and peaceful with great pubs in walking distance and fantastic walks at Holkham Beach. Breakfast was provided each day and Johanna and team even did the washing up for you! Really great place to stay.

  • We enjoyed our weekend break and it was memorable due to it coinciding with a storm and extreme wind, but the log burner, once lit, kept the room cosy and welcoming. A fantastic location for Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Hall.

  • We were very pleased to stay in this gorgeous room in a charming cottage. Our bed was comfy and everything was spotless. David cooked full english for us for breakfast and provided a selection of muesli, yoghurt and fruit. The is cottage is situated a short walk away from the beach, which is really special. We stayed for just one night, but would happily return for a longer stay as we haven't fully capitalised on the amazing surroundings in Holkham.

    Ruta2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the doorstep of Holkham Hall and close to the amazing Holkham beach and bird-watching centres at Titchwell and Cley.

  • David is a great host and staying here felt a real home from home. It’s a great location for walks at Holkham beach and right in the middle of all that north norfolk has to offer. So close to the Victoria Inn as well which is another nice bonus.

  • Pretty cottage in great location for visiting north Norfolk. David is helpful and low key. Excellent breakfast!

    Cathy2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. David is so nice and has extensive knowledge of the surrounding area. A really nice man!

    Anthony2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in the most perfect location. We used Davids bnb as a base for the day whilst in Norfolk for a photoshoot, David was so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help on the day, he also offered some great tips on places we could visit in the area. The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean and we had all the amenities we could have needed. We particularly appreciated the extra touches of a warm heater in the room and cups of tea to come back to between shoots as it was quite a cold day! Would highly recommend this place.

    Alexandra2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was outstanding, comfortable and warm in a gorgeous, quiet setting. David couldn't have been more courteous, and the cooked breakfast & extras were excellent! We both certainly intend to return for another visit.

  • A lovely stay. 😊 The cabin is much more spacious than we thought, plenty warm enough too, even in a few cold nights as our stay was in March. Sizeable kitchen area was great to make our own meals in. A very comfy bed too, with clean and warm warm shower. Terri was lovely and welcoming, providing a few nice touches with tea, coffee and some milk in the fridge when we arrived. Great location too with Co-op just over the road to grab essential supplies. Ideally located for strolling down into town, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of centre. We will be back soon 👌

  • Highly recommend the location of this pretty cabin. Within easy walking distance of the harbour and shops. Terri is a great hostess. We even had a great time in early November in very changeable weather.

  • Terri has given a lot of thought to the extras that made our stay more comfortable. There was no need to take along any cleaning materials as everything is supplied. The cabin is clean and well presented. The bed is comfortable. We will stay here again

  • A lovely, cosy cabin in a great location. Terri is a perfect host , always helpful and thoughtful. We have visited this cabin repeatedly in recent years, much preferred over other accommodation that we have used in Wells in the past - great value in every way.

My place is close to family-friendly activities and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the light, and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
There is one main living space with a corner sofa and dining table. Off this you will find the bathroom and kitchen. At the top of the stairs the master bedroom is found on the right and turn left into the second bedroom.
Stiffkey is a beautiful North Norfolk village, situated between Wells Next the Sea and Blakeney with walking access to the National Trust Stiffkey Saltmarshes and costal path. Within the village (2 minutes walk from Shoemakers cottage) there is the the Stiffkey Stores offering freshly made coffee and a small selection of fresh local produce and groceries. The Red Lion is the village pub (5 mins walk) and offers a great selection of locals ales and local seafood plus traditional pub food.
  • Lovely cottage in a great location. Highly recommended.

  • A wonderful getaway for a couple. Great location and a cute little cottage. Definitely would stay here again.

    Sam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cosy cottage with a fantastic log burner. The place was well equipped in a quiet village with easy access to the marshes and some nice country lanes to walk down. Catherine was very quick to respond to our queries. Overall a great place to stay!

    Sophie2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, comfortable and homely. Parking on road as well as on site. Local stores is quite handy. I’d avoid the red lion pub in Stiffkey as it was overpriced and poor quality. There are lots of other far nicer places to eat. The Crab House in Wells is amazing but book in advance to avoid disappointment. Same with the seal trips from Morston Quay or Blakeney, they get busy but are amazing, especially during breeding season. No microwave and log burner was broken when we visited but Catherine was great with communication and hopefully it’ll be fixed if we visit again in the future.

    Rob2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's cottage was a lovely, cozy place to stay in Stiffkey. Not far from multiple seafront towns, we were able to travel to various locations during our 4 day trip. The cottage also had space for a small car to park out front which was very handy! On the evenings we spent in, we made good use of the board games and other entertainment provided and also made sure to take a walk to the local Red Lion pub, which was very nice indeed! The cottage was fantastic for our couples getaway but would also be great for a family with young children, as there was a multitude of games and toys to play with! I would definitely visit Stiffkey and Catherine's place again! Thank you!

    Emma2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this cottage in Stiffkey - super walks nearby and Stiffkey itself is gorgeous. The cottage was clean, warm and cosy and we had great communication with Catherine.

    Siobhan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Catherine’s place - just as described and what we expected. A great location with lots of nice walks nearby. Communication with Catherine was excellent, would recommend to friends!

    Louise2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Catherine's place. Stiffkey is a beautiful little village, really peaceful and quiet, and very well located for exploring the coast. The cottage is very well equipped for small children with lots of toys and books. The local stiffkey stores and village pub are both well worth a visit.

There are some great places to eat, the best being the renowned Hoste Arms which is a 17th Century old coaching house and is open all day. As a result Burnham Market attracts many celebrities and cosmopolitan visitors, getting very crowded in the holiday periods, earning the nickname “Chelsea-on-Sea.” There is an annual summer music festival with professional musicians entertaining residents and holiday makers in various venues such as the lovely church of Burnham Westgate at the western edge of the village. From the end of November the village is beautifully lit with Christmas lights and it makes the perfect place to visit for Christmas shopping.
  • Great cottage in a fantastic location for visiting North Norfolk. We stayed as a family of 4 with a baby and a toddler and really enjoyed it

    Carolyn2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, charming, well appointed historic cottage with very modern conveniences. Its location is excellent, with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and pubs on the green. Convenient to the beaches and Holkham Hall, Burnham Thorpe and the seaside town of Wells.

    Jennifer2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and beautiful little cottage. Well equipped with everything you could need and the open fireplace in the lounge was just wonderful. I would keep in mind as it's a character property it does have lower doors ways and a steep staircase, not a problem for us though. Also Burnham Market is a great place for foodies and is only 15mins away from a great beach for dogs. Highly recommended.

  • This beautiful cottage is perfectly situated for long walks and pub dinners. The interior is smart, modern and comfortable and we were left a selection of treats to make us welcome, wine, biscuits, crisps, etc. We loved staying here, watching the ever changing tide in the harbour and the harbour life.

  • A fantastic cosy cottage with great views in an ideal lovely location. A welcome hamper was a great touch. Lots of games and books if the weather is bad, luckily we didn’t need them.

Lovely little cottage for two in Blakeney near quay. Perfectly situated in centre of traditional village and near to great restaurants. The cottage has kitchen, sitting room, double bedroom with ensuite. Also private outside area
Good position near to Blakeney Point seal sanctuary. Wonderful walks. Great pubs and restaurants
Blakeney is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastal villages in England. The jewel of the Norfolk coastline it is full of traditional cottages and right on the coast, the traditional quay and mini beach are at the end of the road. The best beach in Norfolk, Holkham, is a drive of approx ten minutes along the coast. Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children. Crab fishing off the quay. The best beach is Holkham beach, very sandy and lots of space, sand dunes etc. This is to the left along the coastal road. Wells has a good beach as well and the village is nice for looking around. Going right along the Coast road are shingle beaches. Sheringham and Cromer. There is a pier at Cromer. Best shops are in Holt. Lovely old market town. There is a small supermarket in Blakeney within walking distance. Go down to the quay and turn left. Also a small variety of interesting shops. Places to eat within easy walking distance are two pubs child friendly, the Kings Arms and The White Horse. The Moorings for slightly more expensive meal, but they also do lunch and coffee. Two hotels that do food The Blakeney Hotel and The Manor, a lovely little cafe at the Methodist Church in the High St. for lunch and coffee, good value and children’s toys. Stately Homes to visit, Holkham Hall, Blickling and Sandringham. For a real treat Morton Hall, run by TV chef Galton Blackiston. In the summer you will find a caravan on the quay selling lovely crab sandwiches and also an ice cream shop near the quay. The harbour rooms usually have local bands at weekends. The village hall has antique fairs and there are often sales of crafts near the quay. The seal trip is a must. You can buy tickets at the bottom of the road.

  • We had a lovely stay at Veronica’s place, the location is perfect for exploring beautiful Blakeney. We booked very last minute and Veronica was very communicative and helpful. The accommodation was ideal for a weekend break being located right behind the deli for picking up breakfast supplies and a short walk to the local pub. Would highly recommend.

    D J2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a snug fisherman's cottage that had been lovingly restored and tastefully furnished. It was convenient to stroll into Blakeney and had a very interesting deli just in front, which had a good mix of luxuries, like chocolate croissants and lots of local Norfolk produce. There was a great selection of wine, beer and locally sourced cordon bleu microwave meals which were definitely not your supermarket variety. Local parking was convenient and cheap. The rooms were a bit on the tight side for a 6 foot 2 man but had been laid out well to maximise use. The kitchen had pretty much everything you would need and it was a fun experience to stay in the cottage. It reminded me of many holidays spent locally as a child. Thank you Veronica. It's always impressive to see how many practical and tasteful touches have been thought of.

Perfect base for exploring. Would definitely recommend to others! Just be warned of the road... It can get quite busy but we didn't find this a problem.

  • We had an amazing few days in Fox Cottage. The accommodation is beautiful, cosy, and homely: we fell in love with it and really enjoyed sitting in front of the log burner during the blustery evenings. Stiffkey is a lovely place. We regularly visit the North Norfolk coast but this was our first time in the village and it was perfect for accessing the salt marshes and coastal part. The Red Lion pub is just a few minutes walk from the cottage was really hospitable with decent food and a nice selection of gin. We would definitely stay at Fox Cottage again.

The cottage is dog friendly (£20 fee) and has the stylish Carpenters Arms pub next door. Hot tub rental available, £195 for 3 nights, £250 for a week.
The cottage has a large fenced garden, great for dogs to run around in. It looks out towards fenced paddocks and to the church beyond. A herd of cows grazes here of Temples cheeses fame (certainly worth trying!) and an owl can often be seen hunting at dusk. The surrounding area is wonderful for country walks before or after a delicious meal at the Carpenters Arms. The pub also welcomes dogs and the staff are very friendly. There is a bike hire company in the village (On Yer Bike) where you can hire bikes to explore the area beyond. Wells next the Sea is a 5 minute drive away and has a very beautiful beach which was voted the best beach by the Sunday Times in 2016. The beach is huge and sandy where you can walk for miles. Pine woods and the iconic painted beach huts line the beach. There is a great cafe here where you can rest for coffee and lunch. In the summer it has Friday night barbecues. Wells has lots going on, including festivals, triathlons and the fantastic Wells carnival at the beginning of August. Holkham Hall is close by too and is an impressive stately home that is well worth a visit. It has a large lake where you can hire boats and there are lots of walks in the park, plus cafes, shops and a wonderful walled garden. Seal trips are a very popular from Morston Quay too and there is a fantastic bird reserve at Cley Marshes. There are a wonderful array of pubs and restaurants to eat in the area including Wiveton Cafe (Of 'Normal For Norfolk' fame), Morston Hall, The Anchor also at Morston, The Crown and Wells Crab House both in Wells (a few of our favourites!). An evening on the Albatross, an old Dutch barge in Wells is also fun watching the sun go down over the sea. The cottage has it's own parking space (gated) at the rear of the property. Hot tub hire is available. We use a hot tub company to deliver, fill and heat your tub which sits on the patio outside the cottage.
Wighton is a very pretty village 3 miles south of Wells next the Sea which you can visit, with it's wonderful beach, pubs, shops and bustling harbour. Carpenters Cottage is in a lovely position in Wighton. It is next to the newly opened Carpenters Arms pub which serves locally sourced food and drinks. After a long day at the beach, it is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a coffee or a pint of Woodfordes Wherry. There are lots of beautiful walks and cycle tracks in the area.

We always found a place to park on the street outside, but noted that the car park down the road was available and had spaces free. Recommend Wells Crab House and French's Fish and Chip Shop, which are a stones throw from the property.

And it's so dog friendly in Wells it almost felt like we had booked it solely for the dog! Highly recommended!

  • A great find and lovely cottage. The only challenge is the stairs to the the first floor, as they are really steep and could be an issue for those who don’t have great mobility, especially as the toilet is downstairs.

    Alexis2019-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cottage, Wells-next-the-Sea is one of our favourite Norfolk towns to visit. The cottage has everything you need, large garden, clean usable kitchen with everything you need, we can’t fault the place, the only negative would be that the staircase is very steep and isn’t pointed out and on a lazy note, no dishwasher, but a truly lovely cottage to holiday in .

Oystercatcher is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of the village amenities. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has been recently updated and now has all of the modern requirements required whilst retaining every bit of its coastal cottage charm.
Upon entering the cottage in to a long entrance hallway you will find the living room on your right with a lovely, comfy sofa, and arm chair perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove. In the corner is a dining table that will comfortably seat four. Neutrally decorated and opened up to the kitchen, this room feels very light, airy and welcoming. From the living room, down a small step is the traditional, small but well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access back through to the entrance hall off which is the ground floor shower room and the door out to the wonderful enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set, perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening. Back inside and to the front of the house is the good sized double bedroom. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs from the sitting room is the large twin bedroom which looks out over the high street. This room has a good sized en-suite bathroom. There is a pull out bed that we can set up in the upstairs twin bedroom to sleep 3 guests. Extra charge applies.
Surrounding area Blakeney must be one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by The National Trust, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners’ and merchants’ houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flint walled alleyways. The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a surprisingly wide selection of shops, public houses and hotels. A wider range of amenities can be found in the Georgian town of Holt, about 5 miles to the south.

  • Oystercatcher is a charming well sized cottage close to the centre yet very quiet. We always found parking outside and could easily walk to the harbour in 5 minutes. The cottage was very well stocked with everything, from corkscrews to a DVD player, enjoyed by the rustic wood burning stove. Michelle was an excellent host and was always quick to get back and help out with queries. We will certainly be going back, highly recommended.

  • Michelle fully deserves the title of super host and was attentive and helpful from the moment we booked. The cottage was clean, cosy and well-appointed and in a perfect location to explore the north Norfolk coastline. We enjoyed stunning beach walks, incredible wildlife watching and good pub grub all close by. Great winter mini break.

  • We had a great three day winter break in Blakeney. The house had everything we needed and is in a good location close to a lovely delicatessen, the White Horse pub and the quay. Michelle was very responsive and helpful. If it we’d visited in warmer weather we definitely would have enjoyed the garden!

A cool and contemporary conversion of an old boathouse with a pretty courtyard garden and parking, just a short walk from Wells quay and the centre of this bustling little seaside town. This stylish hideaway, a favourite with our guests, is set in a quiet and peaceful location yet is only a short walk to all the pubs, restaurants and shops. Although small in size, this 'cute as a button' property delivers in bucket loads. With quality fixtures and fittings throughout and a stylish vibe, this little gem is a great place to stay all-year round. With most of the accommodation on the first floor, you have the added benefit of a parking space for a medium sized vehicle in the garage beneath the living area - a rarity in Wells! Additional Information Sorry no pets. Sorry, no children. Although there is a garage, it is only possible to park a medium-size family car inside the garage due to the narrow road. Larger/estate cars will have difficulty accessing due to the lack of turning space. Please note that the walkway to the side of the property which provides access is narrow. • Warm, cosy and cute! The perfect location for a weekend away in Wells. You can walk to every pub, fish & chip shop and bakery that Wells has to offer (I speak from experience!). The Nest was a welcome warmth from Storm Ciara, a cosy little room with a comfy (although slightly noisy) bed. Everything was spotlessly clean and cannot be faulted. Thank you for a lovely weekend at the Norfolk Coast.

  • Great location, lovely clean apartment. Instructions for access not to clear as past the pub is another turning, took us a while to locate and makesure it was the location before we drobe on someone else's property. Take some ear plugs as the road is noisey, mattress was a bit springy too. But was very clean and great amenities! Just small suggestions to help make it a lovely stay for future guests! Great location walking distance to town and harbour Thanks 😊

  • The Nest is a small self contained apartment with a very clean en-suite w.c and shower room. Bedding is provided as well as some basic toiletries. There are tea/coffee making facilities and a toaster plus a microwave/grill/oven in a small kitchen area with cutlery and crockery for two people. A dining table and chairs are in the room along with a tv with integrated dvd player. There is parking on site which is rare in Wells. The Nest is about a 10 minute walk to the centre of the town and Quay. The beach is a good 15-20 minus walk from the town but in summer a minature train runs every 15 minutes. Peter and Linda are lovely hosts and have lots of tips and recommendations for places to visit and eat.

  • My partner and I stayed here for a few nights over the new year period and had a great time. Really good location, only a 10 minute walk from the harbour, and a great pub just a few doors down. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly, and the 2 family dogs on the property were an added bonus for us :). Overall we highly recommend a stay here.

  • Great place just 5 minutes walk to town centre. Small but well thought out kitchen area and a great base for a couple of days relaxing in the North Norfolk area. House owner (its a joined but independent entry/exit annex to the main house) was very welcoming and friendly - great stuff. Would stay again.

Three bedroomed period cottage close to quay in the lovely unspoilt village of Blakeney With a lounge diner with open fire, fully fitted kitchen and laundry room, a double, twin and treble bedroom, close to the Blakeney Point seals!
Blakeney is such a lovely unspoiled part of the British coast, with its timeless charm, beautiful scenery and lovely walks, it makes a holiday or short break a pleasure. The cottage is in the heart of Blakeney, not far from all the lovely places to eat and unusual shops.
We love the walks along the saltmarshes, Holkam, beach, ten minutes drive along the coast and the best beach in Norfolk. Cromer pier. Crabbing on the quay. Walking to see the seals at Blakeney Point, or taking a boat trip. Eating at the Mooring Bistro, in the same road. The observatory at nearby Salthouse. Cookies for an inexpensive seafood meal. The two steam engine lines and Thomas the tank engine for children. The sea museum and the shell museum. Nearby Holt with all the antique shops.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. It is in an ideal spot for walking to all the village amenities and the gorgeous Norfolk Coast Path. In the house we found everything we needed for our stay and more, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, with all mod cons. Veronica is a great host - any queries we had were answered extremely promptly. I'd highly recommend this cottage, we will be back soon!

  • The cottage is lovely, and well equipped. It is cosy. We were 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and it was perfect for our stay. There isn't a lot of spare space, so it might have been tricky if we had been 7, for example, for fitting around the table at mealtimes. All in all we had a really lovely stay, and would definately go again. The cottage is perfectly located, and Blakeney is a really lovely village. The coast is beautiful. We had some lovely walks.

  • Great cottage, good location to explore Blakeney. Enjoyed crabbing and mucking about in the water.

  • This is a lovely little cottage. It has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The stairs are very steep - particularly to the third bedroom so probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. However, it made a lovely base for exploring the local area and we enjoyed our stay.
