  • Joe was an excellent host. Check in was seamless, even though I didn't plan my arrival time precisely. He checked with me throughout my stay to make sure everything was good. His hospitality was excellent -- he invited me along to a fun event and was understanding when I was too busy to join him. Some exceptional amenities of the Raven's Haven were the rural peacefulness and delicious mountain spring water.

  • I just needed modest - but clean - accommodations for a two-night stay and Joe's place filled the bill nicely. And at a ridiculously low price! Had a clean, private bathroom and a tidy bedroom with a very comfy bed. The best feature, though, may be Joe himself. If you want to talk, he'll talk; if you want to be left alone, he'll leave you alone. And, if there are any problems, he'll do his best to fix them quickly. Also, as others have noted, his knowledge of the area is extensive and he'll share that knowledge with you - if you want. If not, he's fine with that to. Great guy, great value.

  • great surroundings / scenery in a country setting

  • Had a great stay at Joe’s place. It is a great place to learn Central Pennsylvania, and convenient to get to Penn State.

    Luke2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is very nice and great/easy to talk with! He’ll tell you anything you need to know about town and where to go. I was there durning a snow storm and the place was very warm. Room and bathroom were clean.

  • Joe’s AirBnB offering was just perfectly needs. Located one mile for Millheim and 30 minutes from Beaver Stadium, it is a convenient and welcoming venue for Penn State fans or for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful Amish Penns Valley. Millheim is a gem. Located there are a lovely coffee shop with musical talent performing in weekends, a lovely winery with tasty vintages, and, most importantly, the ELK CREEK TAVERN, that features amazing locally sourced dishes prepared by a world class chef. Their beer selection is from their own on-site brewery and are as tasty as any beers anywhere. This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED dinner stop no bar/restaurant in State College can match. And I’ve dined in them all. Back to Joe. Joe is a local carpenter/plumber/mason jack-of-all trades and affable host. His AirBnB room is comfortable, quiet and pleasant with both top and bottom sheets and a warm quilt. When visiting there, you will enjoy a private bath with abundant hot water and full access to all of the common areas. It’s a safe and welcoming environment and a sound AirBnB value. I recommend Joe’s AirBnB offering without exception for its value, convenience, location, and safety.

  • Great place!

  • Joe is an amiable host, and his little house, while a work-in-progress, is clean and comfortable, quiet and secluded. It's near the cute little village of Elk Creek. Make sure you take a tour of its wonderful old Victorian houses! I didn't get a chance, just rode through. I had a great stay here!

Since 1937, these charming cottages have welcomed travelers to the historic village of Aaronsburg, nestled among the scenic mountains of eastern Penns Valley. Our five fully modernized, non-smoking cottages are among the few surviving “Family Cabins” that once flourished along highways throughout America. We are committed to providing Family-Friendly, comfortable accommodations and old-fashioned hospitality in a quaint, small town setting. We welcome children in our cheerfully but simply decorated cottages. Our cottages are clean, casual and comfortable, providing all the modern comforts of home. They are not ultra-fancy like a B&B nor are they primitive like a cabin in the woods. Families & groups may rent all five at once.
  • Country Cottages is perfect if you are looking for a quaint getaway. The cleanliness of the room was definitely a plus. We enjoyed the Keurig and plentiful towels. The bed has a tendency to roll, but turn the rollers sideways and use a piece of cardboard and you're all set. We got to meet Deborah's husband and he was very pleasant and helpful with fishing information. The Rusty Rail Brew Pub, listed in the brochure under a recommended restaurant, is a must-visit!

    Amy2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Crisp flat screen tv, great shampoo/conditioner, super clean, Keurig coffee provided, very comfortable queen bed, nice pillows, very convenient, quiet at night.

  • Absolutely enjoyed my stay! Wonderful host with special touches added to the cottage. The cottage was spotless. I cannot wait until my next visit.

    Kathleen2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect for my husband and I. This location was amazing. The famous extreme sports camp, Woodward was just a short drive down the road. The surrounding farms and landscape were beautiful. We also explored Penn's Cave nearby. We will definitely be back!

    Julie2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was super cute and very clean! The bed was very comfortable. It's in a nice area with great restaurants nearby. We stayed here to visit Penn's Cave, but there is a lot to do nearby. There's a pamphlet inside with lots of good info. The only negative for me was the AC unit was a little noisy and I'm a light sleeper, so if you are too then come prepared. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Located in the heart of Penns Valley, this charming house sits on the banks of Pine and Elk creek just upstream from the confluence of Penns Creek. Conveniently nestled 22 miles from Penn State and 30 mins from Bucknell University. Whether its fly fishing in the front yard on a stretch of private stream or reading a book on the patio while your kids are at Camp Woodward, this place has something for everyone. Featuring 2 fire pits, BBQ gas grill, prime fishing access, and river tubes included.
Coburn on the Creek is a cozy cottage style house with wood floors throughout. It has a covered front porch with a view of the creek, a second story balcony and a patio with a view of the woods. This is a perfect property for a country getaway for friends and family. It is not suitable for parties or traditional bachelor/bachelorette events although we are happy to chat with you about any ideas you may have. Quiet(er) hours begin at sundown. Pets are permitted on a leash for a fee of $20 per night. Just add them as an additional guest. We are happy to accommodate when possible. A high chair, baby gate, side rail for bed and other children’s items are available. In the summer guests are invited to pick flowers, tomatoes and other garden goodies. Each upstairs bedroom has a window AC unit. There is a flatscreen TV in the living room and we offer full cable TV that has ESPN, ESPN2, and the Big 10 network and much more. There are 3 fire pits on the property, one large one in the front yard by the creek, a small one on the patio for quieter gatherings and a small one at the Riffle Lounge on the fisherman's path. Firewood is provided by the host. While we strive to keep the house clean and comfortable for our guests please remember that we are a small country cottage and not a full service lodge. We live at the end of the street and are happy to assist you in having a great stay and enjoying the property as much as we do. Sincerely, Craig & Maria ~
The house is one of 4 on the street. We are lucky to live on such a private street with little traffic but also be mindful of our neighbors ( some have small children and pets) Within a 5 minute walk you have access to the Feathered Hook Fly shop, a post office and a great park with a playground. Guests also have access to a private stretch of prime trout water. We also offer tubes for guest use and they are included with your stay. We are located 2miles from Millheim where you can enjoy the Elk Creek Cafe and Ale Works, IngleBean coffee shop, Green Drake art gallery and much more.
  • Great hosts there to help at anytime but also gave us space! Home was spacious and you can’t beat the location of this home right on the water! Thank you guys so much! We will be back.

  • This home was very clean, well decorated, and had all the necessary amenities plus some! Their attention to detail was apparent in everything. Craig was super nice and always answered our questions quickly. They offered a lot of useful information about the places to eat and things to do in the area. The location is perfect for fishing the Elk River! We would like to return when fishing season kicks in. We are very conscientious of cleanliness of where we stay - our hosts were meticulous and we really appreciated it. And pet friendly is a super bonus of this home!

    Sally2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful space for a family gathering. Lots of great outdoor areas to enjoy and explore. The house was clean and comfortable with enough beds for a large group.

  • Craig & Maria's house is a wonderful streamside retreat in Coburn. Spacious and cozy - we really appreciated their outdoor gathering spots and all of the extra thought they put into making this home a special place for their guests. Lovely hosts and a perfect spot whether fishing or not!

    Meigan2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time! The house is clean and pleasant. The hosts were extremely helpful, yet gave us privacy. It was the perfect place for a family. Both kids and adults enjoyed the outdoors which included comfy chairs, swings, and sandbox. But the highlight was fun in the water which is right there on the property- Everyone loved tubing down the creek, and then just playing in the clean, running water! Thank you for a great vacation and we looking forward to coming back again some time soon!!

    leah2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I don't want you to rent this place, because I want to be able to come back whenever I want! I cant say enough about how delightful this place is. I fished in the Creek within an hour of arriving. Later, our friends sat around the fire and just relaxed. The house is adorable and has plenty of room and beds. Floating down the creek in the tubes they provide will be one the best memories from this summer. Craig left us a basket of fresh corn from his garden! We all want to come back. This place is amazing!

  • This was my first Air B and B experience and I hope they’re all like this! This was a unique find, with a very modern, clean, and spacious apartment in a very beautiful rural setting with cows across the street! Yet close to conveniences and with attractions all very short distances. There were lots of thoughtful touches here, like snacks and drinks, and also the pool table was a lot of fun. I will always have fond memories of staying here. There’s everything you could want. No complaints whatsoever.

Our unique space is set on a working family farm in beautiful Penns Valley...just 25 miles from State College. We raise 100% grass fed beef along with some chickens and pigs. We are committed to sustainable farming practices, and are invested in renewable solar and geothermal sources. The breathtaking view is the reason our lovey modern home sits on its southernly exposed hill - inviting plenty of natural light! We offer comfort, solitude & relaxation as well as activity and fun.
Our place is located atop a hill on our 65 acre farm. We built this in 2017 and the airbnb space was finished in 2019. The outdoor views overlook rolling pasture lands along with the farm. Guests are free to take a hike out through our fields and perhaps stop by to say hello to some of the animals.
  • Jennifer was such a wonderful and kind host, and I enjoyed every minute of my stay! The house was also beautiful, and was very clean and spacious. Additionally, the hot tub outside was the icing on the cake! I will never forget watching the sunset over the horizon while enjoying the outdoor jacuzzi.

Parking in municipal lot, very convenient and a 3 minute walk to place. Self check in via lock box (keep checking emails from host). Room is small but I knew that from the website and previous reviews. We just needed a place to sleep for the night- perfect for it. Room was Super clean!! Coffee shop below is a nice twist. It has a really fun vibe with great food too. A bed and breakfast sort of feel: wake up, go downstairs for breakfast. Staff there were pleasant, personable! (Make sure you tell them you stayed in a room) Only downside is the room walls are thin, so we heard the car/ horse & buggy noise from the street and chatter from coffee shop. Will stay again for future trips!

  • Magnificent find in Millheim! We we’re looking for a bed & breakfast close to State College and found this gem in the sleepy town of Millheim in the Penns Valley area. The lodge is on the second floor of the coolest, rustic decorated coffee shop. Access is through the coffee shop and up a open staircase reminiscent of old western saloons. Rooms are small but smartly designed with many features and thoughtful touches. We were awakened by the smell of cooking bacon, fresh brewed coffee and the friendly chatter of early customers. The staff of the coffee shop greeted us warmly and made us breakfast which was discounted. If we can get in, we’ll be back, but from the look of the calendar, the secret may be out!

  • It was very simple, but clean. Would definitely stay here again if I am in the area

  • Deborah’s place is ultra clean and roomy. The beds are comfortable, and everything is in great condition. It’s on the main road, so expect loud truck noise, but also expect the clop-clop of Amish horses pulling buggies, and the friendly waves of neighbors and all who pass by. It’s a great location.

  • This was a gorgeous Victorian rental. It felt like home and had awesome views of downtown. We felt right at home and the host could not have been more gracious. Convenient downtown location, easy walking to many restaurants and amenities. Super clean. I loved being able to take a bath in the clawfoot tub. Couldn't be happier with this rental or host!

  • James is an incredibly nice guy! The space fit my needs perfectly. The setting was what I hoped for - a place alongside (75 yards away) a mountain stream - in Autumn!

    Debora2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a special place in such a special spot! The natural beauty was amazing, and waving to Amish ladies in their buggies as we drove down the road gave our hearts a lift. Swimming by the spring-fed creek was delicious in the morning; at night you can relax with a book on the charming little deck off the side of this apartment, above the trees. We ate apples off the tree and tomatoes off the vine, we swung on the porch swing, we slept great. James and his lady were incredibly nice, easy-going, helpful and communicative. Their place is homey and welcoming and unfussy, just right for a relaxed and secluded time in a special area. Delicious brunch in nearby town!

  • We were in town for a football game, and decided to stay outside of State College this trip. It was definitely a great decision. Nora and Mike's space was perfect, and we appreciate all of the nice touches -- they had coffee, plenty of blankets, extra toiletries in case you forgot anything, and a sparkling clean place. It was newly renovated and the interior was very nice, but only a 40 minute drive or so to campus with beautiful views. There's also a cute cafe and breakfast spot nearby (Inglebean Cafe) that was very convenient. Nora and Mike do mention this, but just a heads up that there's no wifi or cable. We didn't mind since we were mostly away for the game, but it's good to make a note of. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend at Acorn Cottage and would definitely come back.

(ENTIRE FINISHED BASEMENT - Not just a private room.) Quiet relaxing country comfort (Coburn, Aaronsburg, Millheim, Woodward, Rebersburg, Spring Mills, Centre Hall, Bellefonte, State College). 1.7 mi off Rt 45 in Aaronsburg; 3 mi to Millheim; 4.5 mi to Woodward Camp; 22 mi to Boalsburg; 28 mi to Penn State. World famous flyfishing Penns Creek plus many other good streams. Great remote area with several state parks close by for cyclists, runners, hikers, or other adventurous individuals.
We’ve been told the view is breathtaking..... Fully furnished basement houses 2 bedrooms with dressers and closet space plus a full bath. Pull out full size sleeper sofa in the open area. A new kitchenette includes a 4.5 cu ft frig/tiny freezer, bar sink, toaster, microwave, Bullet, hot water warmer, and a Keurig. We provide a variety of coffee and teas, hot chocolate and sugar/sweetener/creamer. Our 'gym' consists of a Gazelle Supreme located in Bedroom #2. Pool table, bean bag toss, bouncy balls, Chinese checkers, and cards available. Almost 6 acres of mowed yard to hang out on, kids can run and play. Fire pit for enjoyment by day and star watching at night. Mountain pies, roasted marshmallows, hot dogs, or s'Mores, anyone?? Picnic table on your patio and we have fire side seating for all. Unfortunately, Wi-fi is not provided by us because Internet access depends on the skies..... not reliable because of our location. We built our home in 2000 while 2 of our 5 sons were still teenagers and this was their humble abode. They (sadly) grew up and left mom/dad behind, married and have families of their own so now we have an empty nest..... but are thrilled to share and meet/make new friends.
Our home is located on a country road between Aaronsburg and Coburn. Rural, country living - beautiful mountain views - quiet, relaxing, and comfortable - delightful Amish neighbors who work from before dawn to almost dusk. The bordering neighbors all have at least 5 acres of land so we aren't on top of each other. It's funny how sound travels though, you can hear conversations from across the way. Or, hear music in the air - literally! Penn State is up the road, Bucknell University is about 45 minutes down the road and the world renowned Woodward Gymnastics Camp is the same direction, but just a couple miles away from us. AND... If you want a HUGE scrumptious ice cream cone for a very minimal price, take a drive down the mountain past the Camp and stop in Hartleton at Chilly Willy's. Just make sure you observe the speed limit there.... All the little towns around us are quiet and peaceful, some having more activities and amenities than others. Coburn has a feed mill and a bait shop. Aaronsburg has a pottery shop and Millheim is a sweet little town with several gift shops, a wine shop, a meat market, several eateries, a brewery, community swimming pool/park area, and even an art gallery. There are local farmers markets and Amish selling their goods roadside in season. Many churches are within a short driving distance, as well as 3 gas stations, grocery store, convenience store, a hardware/variety store, and Penns Valley Pharmacy. Weavers Store is considered our local little Walmart, being located adjacent to Burkholders Market. All of these little towns have a post office and we also have local pick-up at our mailbox. Please BE SAFE and ALERT when driving in our neighborhoods because of the many Amish buggies or scooters you may see along the way.
  • Bob and Edna’s country comfort Airbnb rental was one of the best we have ever stayed at Bob and Edna are gracious hosts. Their rental is tastefully decorated in a country setting with all The best amenities. We came down for the Penn State game and had a great time . They are truly Superhosts!

  • A visit to Edna and Bob’s “Country Comfort” AirBnB has the effect of compelling return visits! My family and I have enjoyed three Penn State Football weekends the past three years and are already contemplating next year’s fun. The entire basement of a mid-size walkout ranch, the space boasts two nicely furnished bedrooms, an unusually comfy pullout couch, large kitchen with refrigerator-sink-microwave, and white glove clean full bath. Complementing these are a flatscreen tv with satellite options, regulation pool table and outdoor fire pit. Visitors park at the door! Edna and Bob will make your visit a warm and welcoming experience. Edna greets you with a hug and a hearty WE ARE!! Bob makes sure the fire pit is stoked and glowing and ready when you are. • This was our second stay at Edna and Bob's and it was just as good as the first! Future guests, here's what to expect: a spacious and spotlessly clean area, comfortable seating, a lovely porch view with which to enjoy your morning coffee or evening tea, peace and quiet (hallelujah!), and best of all, the warm hospitality of Edna and Bob. They have an amazing gift for hosting. Thank you for having us! Hope to see you again sometime!

    Mika2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Edna/ Bob’s place was “as expected “ because this was my 5th time there and I have come to expect the wonderful experience. Great hosts and a lovely space.

    Denise2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful space in a beautiful, relaxing location. Edna and Bob are very personable hosts. Personal touches like muffins and home-canned peaches were much appreciated. I think my favorite thing, though, was coming back in the evening and relaxing around the fire pit. Lots of interesting conversation and “we are” really looking forward to returning again!

    Debra2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, and peaceful location. The muffins were great! The pool table provided the perfect relaxation for the kids. The hot chocolate and coffee were appreciated. Love the setup of the place-so much room. Glad you found us to say hello! If we come back to the area, we will definitely be back!

    Patricia2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Edna made everything very easy and were so friendly and helpful!! The location was perfect for Camp Woodward drop off. Bob and Edna had snacks waiting for us on arrival. We came home from dinner and had tiki torches and marshmallows to roast in the fire pit waiting for us! Beautiful property, comfy beds, super clean and great bath towels!! Highly recommend staying here.

    Mara2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cast of characters: mom and two BMX riding teenagers, who were initially skeptical about staying at an AirBnB Plot: kids were riding at Woodward in the Vans Pro Open; a two night stay Critical review: Edna and Bob *made* the trip for us. Lovely surroundings, immaculate rooms, well stocked kitchenette, every comfort you could think of. The kids spent two long days riding at Woodward and I enjoyed the back porch, reading in the shade, and enjoying the quiet. Beds are comfy, linens and towels are luxe. Their dog, Bentley, is adorable. We enjoyed a fire the first night with s'mores, and saw a million lightning bugs in the fields. Edna and Bob are made for the hospitality business: warm, friendly, gracious. I know lots of people are headed to State College from their place for football games, but Woodward parents, this is the place to stay when you're coming to pickup/dropoff your kiddos! (15 minute drive over to the camp) Thanks so much! We'll be back!

  • Had a lovely stay at triple creek. The area is very secluded but we enjoyed the ease of it. Super cute and quaint, not cheap but expected for graduation weekend. Overall great stay !!!

  • We had a great stay at Triple Creek for our long weekend. The coffee downstairs was excellent and the suite very nice. Everything was clean and the bed comfortable. Parking is very convenient across the street. The Elk Creek Cafe less than a block away has great dinners and good beer. The host gave very clear directions for checking in and getting to our room. Our only complaint was the traffic noise (trucks and horses) so you might want earplugs if you're a light sleeper like my wife is.

This is an exclusive Tentrr site. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Each Tentrr Signature site includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find a queen-size single or bunk bed inside. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. If you're camping with a larger party, the site also has a 5-person dome tent that you can easily set up for extra sleeping space. The Tentrr - Dennis Alan Quarry Homestead is on 30 acres of beautiful land in Amish farm country that offers the most stunning views in Penns Valley with the top rated fishing in the northeast about 5 miles away. The site is also only 30 minutes from Penn State.
The land has a few small caves on it but our next door neighbor is the famous Woodward Cave. Another neighbor is an organic beef and cheese maker who we can set you up with some really great, extreme, local food. Don't worry, my other neighbors have the homemade bread and veggies. Poe Paddy State Park and Bald Eagle State Forest are both just across the street. The hidden gem is an old quarry that we built a stage in for outdoor entertainment venues. Some people even camp out in the quarry. It's great for a HUGE bonfire and is beautiful on a clear full moon night! Above the quarry is a 60 foot cliff but you would really have to go out of your way to get up there. Try not to film the Amish especially the ones that live next door. Please do treat my home as you would your own and have FUN! This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! There is no electricity or WiFi, and cell service may be hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise. When it comes to bathrooms, this campsite comes with a solar camp shower (that will be filled with water and can be hung anywhere around your campsite you feel comfortable) as well as an outdoor camp toilet (you'll line the loo with a provided CleanWaste bag, do your duty, then remove the bag, tie it off, and throw it in the garbage). When you arrive, you'll follow the map provided to arrive at your campsite. Parking will be close by and dogs are always allowed! Whats included at the campsite: -A large canvas tent with a Queen sized air mattress -A wood-burning camp stove to keep things warm -A separate five person pop-up dome tent -Picnic table and benches -Outdoor camp shower and toilet -2 Adirondack chairs What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows for the provided queen sized air mattress -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory!

  • The cottage was beautiful inside and out!! Hearing the flowing water from the creek behind the cottage was so relaxing!! The place was sparkling clean and it had everything we needed to enjoy our getaway!! Sarah was a great host and I highly recommend staying here!!

    Patty2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was lovely. It is in a beautiful location, right on a small stream and between two small mountains. Everything was clean and Sarah had some food in the refrigerator for us, e.g., coffee and muffins. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Milheim is a small and comfortable town. Sarah also told us she was 10 minutes away if we needed anything. We needed an extra bed for my grandson and she was able to provide that as well. It was great.

    Don2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay near State College. Small town of Millheim has its own charm as well. This was our second stay at the Cottage, Sarah is a wonderful host!

    Vincent2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem. Located just a few minutes from the center of Millheim, a cute little town with friendly people and a nice coffee shop and a couple of restaurants. Upstairs bed was very comfortable and if you open a window just a tad you are guaranteed a peaceful night sleep with the sound of the crickets and babbling brook in the backyard! Very clean and inviting space, thank you Sarah!

    Suzanne2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very good experience. Beautiful discovery of the world of winemakers and wine. Joffrey is very welcoming and open to various discussions. We feel welcome. We were able to taste several different wines which had as common point only their high quality!

    Nolwenn2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice discovery of the field of the horizon, both human and taste. Joffrey has shared his passion for wine. Easy, pleasant contact. We enjoyed our visit of the cellars which ended with a tasting of sparkling wines and white wines! We recommend this experience !!

    Caroline2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was awesome. A charming house, beautifully decorated, with lots of character. The rushing brook in the backyard is so relaxing and nice to listen to at night especially. The fire pit was a bonus and we made a fire next to the stream each night. Fire wood can be purchased at the local hardware store in town. The beds were comfortable, the house was spotless, and very close to town where there is a great farm to table restaurant/brewery called Elk Creek Cafe. There is a large Amish community in the area and I loved hearing the horse and buggies going by the house. The house is set right on a rural road that cars tend to go very fast on, so just be aware that you will hear cars flying by rather frequently, and it can be a little tricky pulling out of the driveway, but other than that, I would definitely recommend staying at Sarah’s place.

  • This area of Pennsylvania is one of the most beautiful in the state and Maria's B&B is situated in the heart of it. Wonderful and comfortably, yet authentically, remodeled mill keepers house from the early 1800's with a sprawling lawn behind it, separated from Brush Mountain by the first spring-feed portion of Elk Creek (fly fishermen & women will know how precious that is). The setting is idyllic and Maria is a pleasure. This is a REAL B&B with a delicious hot breakfast ready whenever you are. Very comfortable lodging and amenities. Lots of good conversation and a wealth of local facts from Maria who really appreciates the pleasures of the place she's had the pleasure of calling home. She went the extra mile accommodating the fact that I was traveling with my dog - who was also made to feel at home. I look forward to my next stay there.

    William2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding place to stay. Very clean and well kept B&B. Maria was a fantastic host and we so enjoyed the breakfast she cooked for the 9 of us. ALL of the mattresses were comfortable. Hard to find these days with a big group like ours. I would highly recommend her place to anyone traveling in the area.

    Jeff2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquility. Centre Mill is a peaceful getaway from the intensity of today’s never ending crush of technological intrusions. When we arrived the moment we stepped inside we were greeted with a magical moment of stepping into history. Maria’s home is well appointed with period furnishings with a touch of the necessary modernity. After a restful evening evening we awoke to a tasty breakfast provided by our host. After a hike along Elk Creek we explored the local villages via bicycle.... need ideas of what to do? Ask Maria, she was very helpful.... we had an amazing time making memories, we will be back soon!!!!

    Dan2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a special house located unique part of America. The property is beautiful with the house backing up to a river. Maria is a fantastic host sharing lots of stories about the neighborhood and giving great tips on places to eat and shop to experience local cuisine.

  • A charming B&B and host. We are repeat customers and really enjoy visiting the area and staying at this B&B. We especially enjoy the great conversation with Maria and her other guests over a delicious breakfast.

  • This is an amazing, historic Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania. I highly recommend it. Maria is very nice and personable. The place sits on 20+ beautiful acres along a creek. It is best for a quiet traveler, as the old home creaks a bit. I would highly recommend this AirBnB!!

Communication before I arrived was great, as I arrived late at night and Bethanne was very accommodating. I can't say enough about how lovely Bethanne's and her husband were and how lovely their home is. Plus she had some amazing pets!

  • Pick this place. It is beautiful, peaceful, quiet, spacious, sparkling clean with so many thoughtful touches- from chocolates on the pillow to careful insteuctions on how to have a fire while sitting on one of two back decks under the stars. A picture window in a great room offers views of rolling hills and a field with llamas a pony and beautiful chickens with bright feathers. It is so quiet outside that it reminds one how of country childhoods long forgotten and yet the house itself has every modern convenience. We were five people in different beds with spacious bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms including one with a jacuzzi. The host was so patient in helping us locate the things we left behind as well as the questions we had coming into the house. Thank you Bethany.

  • This house was wonderful and very clean. Our family enjoyed our stay, especially the animals in the rear yard. We had 9 adults and a few kids and fit comfortably in the 4 bedrooms plus loft. It is worth noting that the loft bed is an air-mattress, which was fine for our group. We went up for a Penn State football game and then enjoyed hanging out at the house afterwards. Driveway is large enough to fit several cars. Would definitely consider this house again in the future.
