We discovered our cottage in the beautiful Westerwald by chance in 2019 – and immediately fell in love. Between March 2020 and August 2021, we transformed it with a lot of passion and attention to detail into a place where you can relax and recharge. I – Janine, a trained hotel manager – am particularly interested in bringing people closer to the small and large beauties of life: through time for themselves, with family or simply in nature. Whether alone, as a couple or with children: our cottage invites you to switch off, feel, pause. A place to find yourself (again) – and to celebrate life.

Our modern vacation home (85 m²) is located on the outer edge of the idyllic NRW gold village of Benroth, in the middle of the Bergisches Land (about 50 km east of Cologne). Surrounded by forest and meadow, nature lovers, hikers, mountain bikers, mushroom and berry pickers will get their money's worth. An inspirational space for creative people! With 130 m², there is enough space in a 3-room apartment and it offers a pleasant atmosphere with a fireplace. You can explore castles via hiking trails or by boat trips in the Middle Rhine Valley, which is known for the UNESCO World Heritage. All shops, supermarkets (REWE, Lidl), restaurants as well as tourist attractions and boat docks are easily reached on foot.

Thanks to the high-quality amenities and some extras such as infrared cabin, wood-burning stove, sauna with outdoor shower, large terrace overlooking the forest and much more, our vacation home is the ideal place for rest and relaxation.

If you still want to go to the city for shopping or simply want to experience culture instead of nature, you will also get your money's worth thanks to the perfect connection to Cologne, Frankfurt, Koblenz, Wiesbaden, Montabaur, Limburg, etc.

Westerwald time out

"Time out" is the motto here and stands for a few relaxing days in our cozy wooden hut on the edge of the Holzbach Gorge, in the "Fohlenwiese vacation village." The surroundings offer hiking trails (directly on the Westerwaldsteig) as well as swimming lakes and vast forests that can be explored by bike... For absolute relaxation, we offer an infrared heat cabin for two people.
