Tall folk beware— this is a basement space! Ceilings are 79in. Bathroom is even shorter. For cat allergy sufferers— we do have cats on main floor but they’re never allowed in the guest space. This house is located in South Central ND. $75.00 per person per night. It's set up for the perfect outdoorsman with prime upland hunting, waterfowl hunting, fishing year round. It is dog friendly. The house can easily accommodate 6 people comfortably with room for more with use of sleeper sofas. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for meals including a slow cooker. It has 2 cleaning stations with freezers. A large heated area in the detached garage for gear and equipment storage.

Foster House - A Gathering Place

The historic Foster House is one of the oldest homes in Oakes. The Foster House was built by a doctor in the late 1800s and the basement was used as an office for his practice. Later in the 40's the house was purchased by A.O. Foster, the owner of the first car dealership in Oakes as well as a gas station. Located at Pickerel Lake, one of the best clear-water lakes in northeast South Dakota, the apartment above our garage offers guests all-seasons year-round access for fishing, hunting, boating, and water recreation activities on Pickerel Lake and on other area lakes. From a keypadded shared entryway up 16 standard-incline steps to the apartment are two bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, full bath with shower, plus free parking outdoors including area for boat/trailer parking.

The Dog House cabin

Great little cabin. Very new, 6 bunk beds, hide a bed sofa, kitchen and bath w/shower washer/dryer. On 3 acres w/heated breezeway for dogs or you can bring them in. Full stove and fridge and is right across the street form the Old Schoolhouse Bar where you can get pizza and drinks and meet local farmers to gain permission to hunt! Base of $90 per night, $30 per person per night for each guest over two. $60 cleaning fee at the end of your stay.

Enjoy your summer at the lake. THIS THE LOWER LEVEL OF A HOUSE ON ROY LAKE. It is separate from the upstairs and has its own entrance on the lake. Includes access to dock and close to boat dock. (Our dock is only in the water from May-Sept) 2 bedrooms (1 King bed, 2 queen beds), and large sectional couch. Has kitchenette, private bathroom, gas grill, fire pit. Bring your boat!
