Rio Pecos Adobe, Telluride CO

Very unique, authentic, and comfortable Southwest style home with tremendous charm and warmth, 12 miles down San Miguel Canyon from the historic town of Telluride, Colorado. Telluride is home to a world class ski area, two film festivals, several music festivals including Bluegrass in the summer and Chamber Music and Blues Festivals in the Fall. Telluride offers a wide choice of restaurants and nightlife. Sit on the sunny decks or enjoy a fire in one of the 3 Kiva style fireplaces throughout the house in winter or fall. Cook meals on a beautiful six burner stove in a kitchen with a fireplace called The Rio Pecos Cafe. Fifteen minutes to Telluride and a half hour drive to Ouray Hot Springs. There is an on site caretaker who lives in a separate, private soundproof apt on a different level than the main house. He is there if you need him and invisible if you don't.

Our whimsical country cottage is the perfect spot to sit and relax, take a stroll down a country road or have a gathering under the big cottonwood tree. Great for family vacations, hunting trips, hiking, and biking. This house is for rent nightly or weekly. We can not accommodate any pets. Please note that the base price is for 2 guests; additional guests are $30 each. We do keep track of the number of guests in the house, simply because we care about our home.

San Miguel River Get-Away - Easy Drive toTelluride

I love this "Down Valley " area of Telluride. It is a 17 minutes drive up river to downtown Telluride. Our riverfront deck sits right on the San Miguel. If you leave your bedroom window open you can hear it all night long. Being at 7500 feet, Fall Creek, is also nicer if you want an easy altitude adjustment! The unit modernly decorated with 900 generous square feet for two persons.
