Moose Haven Cabin @ 22 West
SUPERHOST
Entire cabin · 5 guests · 3 beds · 1 bath

Moose Haven Cabin @ 22 WestThe location is ideal for getting off the grid and enjoying private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. Due to the fire in Routt County, Rainbow Lakes Trail is closed. Fire ban in effect. The location is remote and beautiful. The Moose Haven is at about 9000 feet along the Park Range in the Rocky Mountains. The heat is furnished by a wood stove that does require stoking through cold nights. The composting bathroom is 20 feet away and the shower house a short walk.

The Solargon
SUPERHOST
Tiny house · 2 guests · 1 bed · 1 bath

The SolargonThe Solargon is inspired by elements of Asian yurts, Navajo hogons and Native American hidatsa lodges. Combined with passive solar design principles, the solargon is an octagonal structure designed to take full advantage of the sun. The vaulted ceilings and plentiful windows make the solargon bright and inviting. This is a perfect spot for solo travelers or couples looking for a quiet, off the beaten path place to get away from it all.

  • Denver Art Tour with Non-Profit Donation
Your tour of Denver’s art scene in the hip and happening River North (RiNo) Arts District begins at Denver’s Central Market. This hub of the city’s Art District offers everything from creative ice cream flavors (dare to try the whiskey and pistachio combo?) to a variety of locally-sourced and fair trade products. Your guide will fill you in on the fascinating history of the Market and why it’s the perfect kick-off to your art experience. • Build a hybrid pocket pipe
We will be making one of a kind wood and resin Pocket Pipes from scratch! No kits here! Instagram/mountainpupllc This will be a similar class to wooden pocket pipes, however we use many new tools and manufacturing processes! You will start by picking out your wood blanks for your bowl as well as our hybrid stem blanks that will be assembled during our workshop, cut, carved, engraved if you like, polished and finished into something you can really be proud of. Of Course we have to try them out so feel free to bring tobacco or otherwise since this is Colorado...and give them a try! Feel free to bring a friend to observe for FREE! However seating is limited and prioritized for paying participants work order will go: -Pick your wood -Assemble the blanks with glue and clamps -Use the drill press to prep our bowls -Carve, sand, shape the pipes - take a quick beer/wine break -Engrave our pipes -Enjoy your new creation! We will be in my shop (Garage) the entirety of the work time and most of the class primarily using a rotary tool with an extension attachment (makes it like using a pen to carve/sand rather than holding the entire tool). I will have music playing and examples for ideas, like I mentioned feel free to BYOB while we work as well. Just use common sense, we will be working with power tools that have sharp bits Other things to note Any and all experience levels are welcome, I especially encourage folks who have never tried any wood working. I will always be there to help or step in if any step of the process makes you uncomfortable. I can often accommodate custom time slots as well, just shoot me a message anytime!

We have been up since May 2018 with an unplanned break in 2020. :) Denver's first and best street art tour! Run by locals, 50+ artist interviews, 2 hours + 2 miles. Find out why we have amazing reviews from the NYTimes, Conde Nast and 5280. This tour makes you think without being too heavy. We cover the arts, gentrification and current art controversies. 2 miles, 2 hours and one restroom/water/coffee stop. This is a great tour to start your Denver experience with as it will provide context for the street art you'll see throughout the city. Denver Graffiti Tour is a fantastic way to kill a few hours during the day or to warm up before lunch or happy hour. Who is this for? It's popular for girls' weekends, dates and family reunions. We recommend this tour for kids as young as 10. We can also accommodate people in wheelchairs, etc. Tours run at 10A on Saturdays and Sundays. • Experience LoDo with a local
What's LoDo? I’m happy you asked! Lower Downtown or as we call it - LoDo is Denver’s oldest neighborhood which is home to some of the best restaurants and attractions in Denver. This experience is perfect for first time visitors and is great to schedule the first day you're in town. You'll learn all the hot spots, where to go, and gain local insight on the best way to experience the city. At the end of the tour you will feel more like a local and less like a tourist! We'll meet at the Union Station flagpole and begin by discussing the iconic Union Station and its significance to the survival of Denver as a city. Over the next hour and a half (+ or - 15 minutes depending on group size or pace) we walk a 1.5 mile loop around LoDo where I'll share stories of Hop Alley (Denver’s first Chinatown), visit Mattie Silks House of Mirrors (the most famous bordello of its time), visit the oldest operating hotel in Denver, and learn about the underground tunnel system that runs beneath the city. We end the tour back at Union Station aka the living room of Denver. Other things to note Rain, snow, or shine our tours take place everyday of the week. Good thing Denver experiences over 300 days of sunshine. Just be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. In cases of extreme weather we will contact you

Your guide to Colorado

Welcome to Colorado

Sliced through by the majestic Rocky Mountains, blanketed by the seemingly endless Great Plains, and dotted with otherworldly canyons and rock formations, Colorado’s main draw is its unparalleled landscape. An enormous playground, this state is home to four national parks, surging whitewater rivers, and 26 scenic byways.

In the summer months, adventurers trek across hiking paths, launch whitewater rafting trips, and go bouldering and mountain biking in the steep terrain. When winter rolls around and the mountains are transformed into sugary slopes, skiers and snowboarders whoosh around the countryside on world-class runs. The wilderness may be what calls you here, but Colorado’s cities and towns are enthralling, too. Choose from the cultural hubs of Denver and Boulder, the ritzy après-ski scenes of Vail and Aspen, or the frontier charm of mountain outposts Durango and Breckinridge. Wherever you go, you’ll never be far from jaw-dropping scenery, outdoor fun, and delicious food.

How do I get around Colorado?

Denver International Airport (DEN) is Colorado’s major transportation hub, with several smaller airports serving other parts of the state. If you fly in here, make sure to look up the kooky conspiracy theories swirling around the airport, especially the giant blue horse statue. There are many ways to explore the state of Colorado, scenic road trips being one of the best. Amtrak’s California Zephyr train — which offers sleeping accommodations, dining, and bar options — presents an opportunity to see the Colorado landscape in a unique way, and makes six stops between Grand Junction and Fort Morgan, including Denver. Intercity Bustang coaches connect several popular destinations such as Denver, Durango, and Grand Junction. You can buy tickets online or pay exact fare when boarding.

When is the best time to stay in a vacation rental in Colorado?

Planning when to visit Colorado may come down to optimizing for the activities you’re most interested in doing. Winter of course is all about snow sports, summer and fall are ideal times for hiking, and spring is whitewater rafting season, as the rivers swell with snowmelt. Rest assured, this state looks absurdly pretty in all seasons. Colorado experiences 300 days of sunshine a year, but thanks to its high elevation, weather is typically mild. Still, there are some scorchingly hot days, and temperatures do drop below freezing, so plan ahead and pack accordingly.

What are the top things to do in Colorado?

Rocky Mountain National Park

Visit the state’s natural celebrities, the Rocky Mountains. Located in the northernmost part of the state, about an hour and a half from Denver, this national park also boasts misty waterfalls, bighorn sheep, glaciers, and alpine tundra.

Hit the Slopes

Colorado is a skiers’ paradise, with a scene to suit every taste. Swish down the mountains with glamorous snow bunnies in Vail and Aspen, or opt for a Western vibe in the more low-key outposts of Telluride and Breckinridge. Wherever you are, there are typically outfitters on hand who will rent you everything you need for a day on the slopes.

Time Travel

Colorado offers several choice opportunities to explore ancient history amid beautiful natural settings. At Dinosaur National Monument (located in the wonderfully named town of Dinosaur) you can see magnificent fossils embedded in a landscape of painterly red canyons and roaring rivers. At Mesa Verde National Park you can explore incredible cliff dwellings built by the Ancestral Pueblo people for hundreds of years until the 14th century.
