Guests are given a private garage & back yard w/ free firewood. Private entry gives access to 2,200 sq ft of private space that includes a 3 seasons room with gas fireplace, laundry, and full kitchen. 1 open room, one private, and one partial room with no windows. Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

Perfect for two but can sleep up to four. No AC? Not a problem here! Our basement space stays cool and comfortable all throughout the hot and humid summer days of MN. We also have fans available and we constantly run a dehumidifier to circulate the air and keep away moisture.

This rustic cabin is tucked away on 2 acres on Long Lake. The original log structure dates to 1858 with a new addition built out of repurposed barn wood. Enjoy a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway by the fireplace. Spend some time by the lake enjoying the fresh air and wildlife, or reconnect with family around the table playing games.
