Historic Schifferdecker Cottage

Built in 1846 and secluded on 5 gorgeous acres bordering Turkey Creek on the west and a paved walking trail on the south, this charming cottage was the home of Charles Schifferdecker, where he brewed his beer to sell in the "mining camp" called Joplin. Ironic to its seclusion, it is literally one block from the corner convenience store and mere minutes from such local destinations as MSSU, OCC & Joplin High School, as well as many restaurants and retail stores on Rangeline and Main Street.

The Grand House is located toward the south part of town in a very peaceful area! You are 5 minutes from hospitals and schools. You are walking distance from restaurants, parks and trails!
