Have fun with the whole family in this stylish and newly (2024/25) developed penthouse apartment with balcony located on Lake Kastellaun with direct access to the forest. The bike and hiking trail to mills and Mosel leads right by the house and offers many possibilities for an active vacation in the Hunsrück. The old town and castle ruins are only a 5-minute walk with restaurants and shopping. A large playground is only 200 m away. The hosts live in the lower part of the house.

This sunlit former mine nestles against the rock like a swallow’s nest, directly below Burg Gutenfels and along the Rheinsteig trail - far from train and traffic noise. Afterwards, relax with a glass of wine on the balcony and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Rhine. Between Bingen and Koblenz lies the enchanting Bacharach and above it the district of Neurath. You can see Stahleck Castle and Lorch Castle and turn into the premium Rheinburgenweg hiking trail right outside the front door for fantastic hikes.

My home is nestled in Germany’s greenest corner – the Hunsrück. 🌿 Around 58% of the region is covered by forest, so fresh air, peaceful woodland walks and nature are right on your doorstep.

The half-timbered house, built in 1622, is modernly furnished. A wood and pellet stove creates a special evening feel-good atmosphere.
