All four bedrooms have 50" HDTV's and there is a 70" monster screen in the living room so if you want to stay inside and watch the game (DirectTV/NFL Sunday Ticket!) or get caught up on work (satellite internet), you're covered. In addition to having all the major pay-for movie channels like HBO and Showtime, we also have a great DVD library for the film buffs out there. Hanging out by the fire pit is a great way to cap off a day and don't forget to break out the s'mores. The house is outfitted with high end appliances across the board and even seasoned chefs will find themselves well equipped in our kitchen or at the helm of our state of the art grill. The home is filled with lots of interesting original artwork and the grounds surrounding are serene and picturesque. Located less than 30 minutes to downtown Austin, you get the best of both worlds. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Country Charm, Remodeled 1940's 2 bed 1 bath

This 2 bedroom 1 bath house was originally built in the 1940's in downtown Austin. We had it moved to our property a few years ago and have completely remodeled it. It sits on a 1 acre lot and now is walking distance to the new 45 toll road extension which has a hike and bike trail along side of it. This road is now complete and will make for a quicker commute into Austin. It takes approximately 20 min. to downtown Austin or 1 hour to downtown San Antonio.

A cabin entrance is framed by large glass panels and wooden beams, allowing natural light to filter in. The door is surrounded by nature, with a pathway leading to the porch. Shade from nearby trees adds a serene atmosphere.
