North Sea air and sauna! Our detached vacation home "Dat Melkhus" was built in 1870 and is located in a small settlement with a quiet neighborhood. Here, at the turn of the century, butter was made by hand for the surrounding communities. Today, the once small house has been expanded to 140 square meters of living space and has been lovingly renovated by us since 2022. The apartment is located in a quiet residential street, about 15 minutes walk to the Heide center/market square and is very convenient as a starting point for walks in the moor, forest and for bike tours. Bikes can be stored and the car can be parked right outside the front door.

(Grill available) On the ground floor there is a new, spacious kitchen with dishwasher, the living/dining room and a toilet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with single beds, a bedroom with double bed and balcony facing south and the bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.

Our "large" apartment is 85 m², on the 2nd floor of the birthplace of Friedrich von Esmarch. The heart of the apartment is the open kitchen with seating, which leads to the spacious living room. The entrance hall leads to the small bedroom. The main wing connects the shower room, with double sink and rain shower, to the large bedroom. The whole apartment is equipped with white floorboards. So, have a nice time!!

Lovingly and with care, we have furnished our thatched cottage - in the hope that you and your family and / or friends will feel at home! A newly covered, local thatched roof, the restoration of the old dormer and a careful approach to the expansion in order to preserve as much as possible - that was important to us and characterizes this unique building. Unfortunately, we are not suitable for party groups!
