Sleeping places in the countryside, bakery, homestay

We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, purely minimalist! Adventure instead of luxury.

Artists' farm with a site trailer and wild art in the countryside

If you are longing for a break and want to enjoy the luxury of simplicity in a special atmosphere, this is the place to be. The lovingly designed showman's trailer with wood stove is located on a heritage-listed artists' farm (built in 1805). In the warm season, the Wilde Werk – a creative meeting place with a kitchen, studio and plenty of room to linger – invites you to enjoy, work or be creative. Whether you want to slow down or go hiking in the nearby Geo Nature Park – both are possible here.

Vacation in the countryside

On our listed 300 year old farm we offer: two separate apartments for each 4 persons, with kitchen-living room, bathroom and bedroom with two floors each and about 50 square meters each. We are situated in the Südeichsfeld, a plush hilly low mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, a visit to the bear park Worbis or excursions to nearby half-timbered cities are popular excursion destinations.

Ferienhaus "Ahle Schinn" Relax on the Werra

Our holiday home is a half-timbered house in "Little Venice," the old fishing houses in front of the city wall and is bordered by the Werra, the Werra Bridge and the old city wall. In the 1990s it has been lovingly renovated and has been modernized since then. Families with children are welcome! Cots for toddlers and high chairs are included at no extra charge. The ground floor is used by a café with beer garden, from which you can also be taken care of on request.

Quietly located, fully equipped comfort apartment (approx. 70 square meters) for 2 or 4 (comfort occupancy) to a maximum of 6 people (exception with limited comfort) with direct access to the garden and pool area. Pool 4 x 8 m, covered and heatable. Ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, draisine rides and excursions to Eichsfeld, Eisenach, Mühlhausen and others. The annex was completely expanded in 2019. It has become a real gem and we are pleased to offer this modern guest apartment in a prime location. In the immediate vicinity is the swimming lake at the leisure center, but Lake Werra is also just a short walk away. On the way there is an EDEKA supermarket. And the city center of Eschwege can also be reached in 25 minutes on foot. Around Grebendorf there are a number of hiking and cycling trails.

Here you can hike, walk, cycle, swim, canoe on the Werra or sit comfortably in a nearby beer garden. Our apartment is completely refurbished, equipped with a new kitchen and a new bathroom. Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
