Unwind on the deck & watch for whales while enjoying great views of Puget Sound & mountains.Guests love our oasis that is still close to all Alki & Seattle has to offer Studio is ground level suite with own separate entrance, which is on opposite side of owners entrance. Located in a hillside area, but manageable. Free street parking on back & side of the house. No cooktop in studio due to insurance. Just imagine if you could wake up and see the ocean and hear the seagulls in the morning? Or, possibly sight an orca or some resting seals? Our studio offers you a true beach oasis getaway , minutes walk to Seattle’s infamous Alki Beach. FEATURES: This is a 450 square foot studio suite in the lower half (above ground basement suite) of our home. We live upstairs, but the studio suite has its own separate entrance on the opposite side of our entrance-- enables true privacy. You get exclusive use of the front patio overlooking the ocean as seen in the display picture. Morning views of the mountains and beach are always guaranteed, along with majestic evening sunsets. Brand new queen sized bed promises a comfortable night's sleep. Full private bathroom with a standing shower (no tub) with all your natural shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We do NOT HAVE A FULL KITCHEN/stove cooktop. Please see below what we do have in our kitchenette and space. Many of our guests don’t find this to be an issue as they’re always out and about sightseeing or dining nearby. INCLUDED: Microwave, mini fridge with small freezer, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster, flat screen TV with ROKU system for access to Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, & plenty of other channels. Suitcase rack, 2 freestanding fans, towels, sheets, duvet blanket, pillows, full sized dresser, space heater. Plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, wine & beer opener, eating utensils, coffee, teas, sugar, salt and pepper. Natural shampoo, conditioner, lotion, 2 umbrellas, iron, ironing board, steamer, hairdryer, emergency kit, fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector. Diffuser with essential oil for your use and a welcome basket with some travel essentials. Also available is our welcome binder with taxi contacts, local restaurants and business', emergency contacts, bus routes and schedules, ferry schedule, and other pertinent details to help facilitate a comfortable stay. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Summer time on Alki Beach is the best! The pirates come to Alki during Seafair weekend, the Art Walk happens on the occasional Thursday , bonfire pits are free to use and salsa dancing are some of the fun events that occur on Alki. Oh, and Taichi every Saturday morning from 9-10am. Winter brings about calm and relaxing walks along the beach. Many coffee spots for your warm cup of joe including Starbucks, Top Pot Donuts and Tully's. ALKI BEACH : 400 feet away (Literally 1 minute walk to the beach) WATER TAXI: 1.5 miles (scenic walk along the beach) BUS & SHUTTLE STOP: 100 feet away from studio RENTALS: Sport rentals such as kayaking, biking, and scuba diving are also available at the water taxi station. Kayak and Bike rentals are available on the Beach during the Summer months. Highly recommend renting the tandem double Surrey bikes and take it along Alki Beach. Less than 10 minutes to reach downtown Seattle (sans traffic) and only 25 minutes from the SEATAC Airport. Key-less entry. No hassle of losing keys as no keys are required :) Code to keypad will be sent via email a few days prior to arrival. We respect your privacy and know that this is your vacation. We also love meeting new people, so you just let us know if you'd like to be greeted in person and we'll swing on by! Otherwise, we are always available by phone, text, or email. All restaurants on Alki Beach are a short walk away, as are local shops, and there's a water taxi just a little further off. Alki Beach is a beautiful public sandy beachfront and location to numerous celebrations in the Summer months, including the Seafair Pirate landing party. All Summer long, you'll see bonfires, beach volleyball & kayakers. Head to the hip urban village at West Seattle Junction to enjoy many small shops, restaurants, and bars giving West Seattle an eclectic & community vibe. The free #773 or #775 shuttle is just steps away from our house and this will take you directly to the water taxi station (water taxi station is 1.5 miles walk otherwise). The Water taxi is 10 minutes ride to downtown and cost is about $5 per person, each way. Shuttle and water taxi run on limited schedules during the Weekends & Winter, sometimes not even in service so please inquire and check their website before booking if that's important planning of your trip. You can also rent these new but reliable city bikes that are left around. Just download the app (SPIN or LIME Bikes) and find out where the nearest available bike is, then leave it in any spot once done. Rate is about $1 per 30 minutes.- very economical and practical way to explore and get around our beach neighborhood :) Uber, Lyft, Car2Go are also viable options. ReachNow is also available with SmartCars, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs and Mini Coopers. ReachNow is a one and two-way rental car solution that can be parked and left at our house. Approximate cost is $0.41 a minute. Traffic can get pretty heavy on the West Seattle Bridge if you're getting onto the I5- BUT one of the best parts about living here in West Seattle is the the "hidden" routes and surface streets you can take to avoid the traffic jam on the WS bridge. Parking downtown Seattle is always free on Sundays and Holidays. Otherwise, parking ranges from $2-5/hour and about $20 per day for parking garages. -There are 9 steps with no hand railing to get up to our studio entrance. Please keep this in mind for late night arrival and suitcases. The auto light sensor will come on at night to aid in the night time arrivals. -We live in a very hilly area where certain parts are steep. It is definitely manageable, but not recommended for elderly or people with slight disabilities. -We do not have a washer or dryer in unit. -No Air Conditioning Unit. -We have radiant in-floor heating and it will take a couple hours for the heat to rise to your desired temperature. -We do not have a full Kitchen. No Stove/cooktop. PHOTO SHOOTS OR FILMING* *The studio does rent for photo shoots and filming but this is NOT included in the vacation rental fee. Photo/Film shoots are a different price structure, and require acceptance of filming contract. Failure to obtain written authorization will result in full forfeiture of the Fees and Security Deposit.

A Highland Hideaway! 7 Blocks from Seattle Center and the New Climate Pledge Arena: Home to Music Concerts and The Seattle Kraken! Tickets to home hockey matches can be arranged! We are looking for those who want to enjoy the comforts of home, but be on vacation. We are close to all the best parts of Seattle- 8 blocks to the Seattle Center, 2 blocks to the 3/4 Bus Line, and walking distance to Downtown, the Theater, the Opera, Ballet, Concerts at Key Arena, Yummy Restaurants and much much more! Though it is important to note we are on a hill and all the sites are down the hill (its coming hone that is tough). The unit comes fully furnished (coffee pot!) and all everything you would need whether staying for a few nights, a week, or even a few months. Professional are also welcome to enjoy a home away from home while traveling on business or relocating for an extended period of time. Guests have access to the entire backyard and their own private space with bedroom (queen bed), full (bathtub and shower) bathroom, kitchen, laundry, and office space. This space has a Key Pad for entry, No key is needed and each guests is provided with a unique code to entry with check in instructions. We are happy to provide any information and guidance while in Seattle/staying at our place. Guests access the unit from the side yard. We will have as much as as little interaction as you want. We will check on you once you arrive and usually say goodbye. Then maybe see you throughout your stay. At anytime- knock on the front door for anything you need. = ) Queen Anne is one of the best places in Seattle. You can can walk to dinner, bars, and concerts. The neighbors are all very nice and this is very safe and comfortable area. Restaurants are down the hill on 5th Avenue North and Taylor Ave N. There is no need for a car- walk/bus/Uber are all the best options to get around the city. If you have a car, there is not an assigned parking spot. You can park free on the street. Most days you can park right in front or on the block. The Bus is just 2 blocks away. The 3 and 4 come about every 15 minutes. Uber and /or Lyft are also a great way to get around, as Car to Go. FROM THE AIRPORT! Transportation options. 1. Light Rail from airport to downtown. Cost is $3 a person. Once you get downtown you can grab a cab for about $6-8. To our place. You can also grab the bus. Bus will be $2.75 a person. Cash only. Light rail is our "subway" system. It runs from airport to downtown all day long. 2. Take a Taxi from airport to our area. This will be about $45-50. However you can look into "(URL HIDDEN) This is flat rate service to and from the airport that has to be pre booked. To our unit it is $32 plus gratuity. It is a "flat rate", which is guaranteed to be $32. 3. Take a Town car from airport to our area. This is about $75. Uber works but only the town car option. If you want Uber X then you need to meet them in a specific area. You can pick up Bus #3 and #4 from downtown location- Westlake Center. This is the last stop on the rail. ***However- I might recommend getting off the Light Rail 1 stop earlier at University to avoid the crazy last stop. It is much easier and hotels are right there to grab a cab from too. Or Bus #3/4 are also available right above the platform. #3/4 comes 2 blocks from us on Taylor and Prospect. Just walk up the hill 2.5 blocks! So pack ok to walk the hill. = ) Bus only takes exact change and it is $2.50 a person most of the time- during peak hours it is $2.75. Taxi is great b/c it is door to door- but of course it is the cost. As is Uber or other reserved car service. A taxi will get you here much faster- about 30 min or less. Light Rail and Bus will take a good hour and a half after you get your gear- plus walking to the rail. The light rail does show you some of the sights- so it is a nice way to "come into the city". So depending on when u fly in and check in timing- this can be great option. Light rail info: sound transit website Bus info: King county metro website Getting around the city is easy and we are 1 mile away from the market and stuff. To the stadiums you can take bus/light rail. Or a cab. Renting a car is good if you are going to explore the outer areas of Seattle. Otherwise it is best to use taxis and uber to get around, so you don't have to deal with high parking prices, finding a parking spot and parking tickets. We are in the city. To rent- always check out Costcotravel if you are a member. Best deals! There is a Queen Bed and lots of extra bedding and towels for your use if you are a long term guest. A coffee pot is ready for your use with a starter kit of coffee, sugar and creamer. It's a full kitchen with all the tools you will need for cooking in if you want. Parking is usually quite accessible. We are located on a HILL- and during busy times you may have to park a block away. The hill is how we get our view. But you will want to consider that for parking and type of shoes to bring. = ) During winter months rain and snow can make our location a bit tougher. No permit is needed, it is free on the street. If you need the driveway for move in or move out- don't hesitate to ask.

One of ten 2-story lofts, this features 750sqft (70 meters square), plus a deck and access to a communal roof deck with BBQ. This luxurious loft designed by Graham Baba is a work of art. Polished concrete floors throughout, walnut cabinetry and built-ins, blackened steel wall accents, exposed steel structure, natural fir ceiling and exquisite bath and kitchen fixtures express a wholly Northwest material palette. WiFi throughout serving WaveG 1GB internet speeds and 4k TV with Amazon Fire TV. You have the run of the place! There are plenty of open closets free for you to use. I always unpack completely when traveling and I encourage you to do so! South Lake Union (SLU) is the center of Seattle's tech and biotech industries during the day. Have a relaxed evening at a great boutique restaurant or bar. It's walkable in every direction to Seattle's great destinations including the Space Needle. The SLU Seattle Streetcar (inbound) stops directly in front of the building. Hop on and get connected to Link Light Rail all the way to the airport or catch a bus to Capitol Hill, Ballard or Queen Anne. South Lake Union is a hotbed of construction activity and although there is nothing currently happening next to the building, the area is alive with workers during the day. Evenings are quiet and relaxing.

Charming Secluded Guest Suite near Woodland Park

This secluded and very quiet, 370 sq ft in home apartment, space is nestled in the trees with a territorial view to the southwest. If you have an appreciation for hand crafted details this is the place for you: hand made windows, a bed frame made from salvaged fir bleacher seats, owner designed light fixtures, and traditionally crafted woodworking details throughout. The Chestnut stays cool in the summer and cozy in the winter with its heated concrete floors. Open all twelve windows south and west and you might think you’re in a treehouse. This space is thoughtfully designed as a restful retreat after a long day of exploring or hectic day of business travel. If you like to cook, the kitchen is complete with a gas range, a full size electric oven, microwave, under counter refrigerator/ freezer, farm style sink, and all the needed utensils. The Chestnut has its own secure entrance and private patio. It is accessible by stairs only. I am here and happy to help. Perched on the hilltop above the historic business district, the Chestnut provides easy access to Fremont neighborhood and many delicious restaurants and local shops. Look for the many public art pieces nearby or walk along the gorgeous ship canal. There are plenty of food options within walking distance and a number of buses that will easily take you downtown, east to the University district, west to Ballard, and north to greater North Seattle.
