“The dome is a beautiful place, if you want to connect with nature and listen to the sound of wind and birds and forget about the bustle of the city, this is the perfect place to do it. In addition, the townspeople are exceptionally hospitable and the genuine interest and kindness they show towards those who come to know this paradise is really welcoming. Don Abel is a wonderful character that gives the place more charm and spares no stories in Costa Rica and the world. We really had an amazing time, despite traveling without a car, you can enjoy a lot just by walking and talking with people.”

“This is a lovely cabin in a beautiful area! We had no trouble finding it despite arriving at night. Jose’s father showed us around and provided recommendations for dinner. The cabin is clean and comfortable with a great fireplace. The yard is also beautiful and nice to enjoy in the morning.”
This vacation paradise is appropriately named "Chalet Quetzal" because of the frequent visits of the Resplendent Quetzal around the property. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway, a peaceful retreat, and some of the best bird watching on the planet. With approximately 600 sq. ft. of living space, including a luxurious pillow-top king bed and large bath with walk in shower, Chalet Quetzal has everything you need to be perfectly comfortable in this cloud forest paradise.
“Chalet Quetzal was a bit hard to find, but the location was perfect. Right on the Savegre River, you could fall asleep to the sound of the rapids. This area of CR gets a bit chilly (50 Fahrenheit or so) at night and Ryan has a space heater to keep you fairly comfortable. Jasmine (caretaker) lives very close and does well providing clean towels and will wash clothes for a donation. Three days is about the right amount of time for this beautiful secluded valley.”
