This cabin has been designed to be your basecamp for adventure. Between the 4 decks attached to the cabin, log porch swing, and fire pit area with Adirondack Chairs, you will have no trouble finding a proper place to relax. You will also have access to the detached garage to safely store your gear out of the elements.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Easy travel within an hour to the Great Sand Dunes, hot spring pools, hiking, off roading, skiing and hunting. Monte Vista Wildlife Refuge within 8 miles. Off street parking allows room for recreational vehicle parking as well. This cozy apartment of 500 sq ft is perfect for 2, but can accommodate 4 with the queen bedroom and the futon which makes into a queen size bed. No TV. Monte Vista is a small rural town.

Our Big Bow Cabin accommodates up to 10 guests with 3 queen-sized beds, two twin beds and fold-down futon with 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. Full-sized kitchen is equipped to meet all your needs. You are sure to have a great time. PLEASE NOTE: fly fishing may not be available for the rest of the 2026 season due to extremely low water levels and high temps. Please contact us prior to booking for availability. Up to 2 dogs are allowed for an additional pet fee.

The property boasts nearly 200 private acres with almost 1 full mile of private river.Spring and Fall are best times for fishing. The property also has walking trails NOTE! Dry conditions due to widespread drought have caused river to become unfishable. Fall will see river back up.

Private Cabin on the Conejos River

We offer a great cabin, a stones thrown from the river on our elk ranch. Our all-season cabin can accommodate couples, or groups up to 6, and serve as a home base or launching spot for the areas countless activities. We also offer fly fishing access, if available with a rod fee, this is seperate from cabin, and must be booked in advance. We charge a $100 per pet fee.
