“Wow, Juan really is a super host, attentive, cordial and helpful. Regarding the room, clean, cozy with a rustic touch but at the same time modern. We needed to get out of the daily running and running routine of the city, and we did it, but at the same time the comforts of the place made us feel at home. The location is spectacular, it is close to the center of Heredia but isolated enough to enjoy the mountains and nature. Another thing that we loved was seeing our puppy running calmly throughout the property, since everything is closed and delimited. Go prepared to meet many insects and bugs, sound of the cows in the morning, you have to be psyched that you are going to live the experience that you dreamed of as children and that is to be in a real tree house, full contact with the nature, with the comforts of home. Anyway 10 out of 10. Thanks Juan!”

“Phil's place is a paradise perfect as a home base for adventures all around San Jose! Start your mornings with the sun pouring in through the eave windows of this sparkling clean abode and a hot cup of coffee then come back to watch the sun set over the valley from the observation deck before nodding off in the comfy bed. I don't usually drink coffee but I made an exception for the ranch grown coffee and even brought some back for family, friends, and myself. Be sure to follow Phil's restaurant and activity recommendations to make the most of your trip and enjoy the local area. We can't say enough great things about our stay here!”
This is a huge property that has a cabin, river, forest, and a multipurpose space. There are banana, pitanga, grapefruit, jaboticaba, and lime trees. Around the property there are some stone tables where you can have a picnic surrounded by nature and underneath the shadow provided by the trees, or just sit down to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Close to the cabin lives the gardener who’s always willing to help. I am also one call away and can get there at anytime!
“We were met by Marco, Melissa's dad, he was very kind and answered the mobile whatsapps / messages instantly, that helped us a lot when it came to the house and to leave as well. The house is located in a very nice land / garden, with a path included, also has a dog, Tutti, very respectful and affectionate, if you do not like dogs, Marco offers to take him home, but our daughter loved it have it at home .. the house is large and met the needs we had. Thank you! Very close is the Toucan Rescue Ranch if you want to see animals in the process of reintegration into nature, it is expensive but it is a non-profit association, all your money is invested in the welfare of animals and you have the opportunity to see lazy, toucans , etc. very well close .. :)”
