Enjoy our lovely handcrafted cottage in its wooded, peaceful setting with walking trails, chickens and a beautiful garden -- just a mile off the Keswick exit of I-64 near Charlottesville, UVA, Monticello, many wineries and historic sites.
“We had the best week at the cottage. The pictures don’t do justice to the gorgeous architecture of the cottage, with amazing tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The place was spotless which I especially appreciated during the covid pandemic, and Patricia provides so many personal touches that make you feel like you’re staying at a luxury accommodation. I loved the animal friendly atmosphere-prepare to hold a chicken and say hello to the local horses and pups! Patricia even showed us a birds’s nest with brand new baby birdies. There is also a massive garden on the property with all sorts of veggies and herbs for the taking. While we wern’t relaxing on the hammock or making s’mores in the fire pit, we easily visited nearby Charlottesville, picked fresh peaches at an orchard, and did a beautiful hike at Crabtree falls. This is a wonderful place to both unwind and/or do activities. There’s a whole book of suggestions in the cottage for your reference. We would absolutely come back. Thanks Patricia!”
The newly renovated Plum Cottage sits on a spacious, historic property that is less than 1 mile from the Downtown Mall, and 1.5 miles to UVA's rotunda. The Cottage contains two private entries, off-street parking, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. We regularly hear from guests that Plum Cottage is one of the nicest Airbnbs they have visited. As such, at this time there is a two-night minimum booking for all weekend reservations, and a three-night minimum for UVA graduation weekend.
“Joanna left the place super clean for us. Her yard is breath taking, tons of privacy. The AC is perfect and bed is super comfy. It’s about a 15 minute walk downtown to the mall. We will definitely be staying here again.”
This sweet little house with its super fast internet & cable/smart TV makes working from home & entertaining kids easy. The huge yard and nearby park are great for kids and pups. Hiking and mountain biking trails are just a few minutes away. Most Cville restaurants are open for take out or curbside, and you can walk or bike to many from the cottage. Sip coffee and wine on the screened porch, take long walks through the city neighborhoods. A perfect place to escape and enjoy spring in Cville.
“Holly’s cottage is a great value and Holly is a very responsive and thoughtful host. The location and parking are perfect for convenience and proximity to town. The amenities and decor were beyond expectation. The bedding and linens were especially fresh and crisp - making for a very comfortable stay. Thoughtful touches like dog toys and fresh flowers made us (and our dog Fiona) feel very welcome. Highly recommend the place for this price point.”
