Enjoy breathtaking long-range views of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains from the covered deck or screened-in porch as you sip your morning coffee. Sunrises, sunsets and the night sky cannot be beat from this location! This charming cabin is nestled in a serene mountaintop location abundant with nature and wildlife. There is a great chance for a deer or wild turkey sighting! Spend your evenings making s'mores on the stone patio equipped with a picnic table, firepit and vine-covered pergola.
“The mountain overview location was on of the most magnificent places I have ever stayed with incredible views. Some mornings you will wake up with the ability to see for miles and miles and others you will be in the middle of a cloud! The host, Eric, was incredibly responsive to all of our questions and concerns. I would recommend renting or driving in a 4WD vehicle because it can get a little squirrelly on the drive up or down due to the loose gravel. If you are a confident driver though it should really be no issue, barring snow. The indoor fireplace is a great touch and there is plenty of firewood under the deck to keep the fire going as long as you would like! We went in early spring and it was gorgeous and I can only imagine it is just as gorgeous any time of year you go. This place is great for a quaint romantic retreat or the adventurer looking for some great hiking. There is no A/C but at that elevation it is not really necessary. 15/10 would recommend and we will definitely be back sooner rather than later, you can’t beat this value anywhere!”
This modern, dog friendly retreat is a converted shipping container situated at the entry to our 125 acre mountain top retreat which backs up to Pisgah National Forest. Enjoy all the best hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway just 4 miles away and then head 25 minutes into Asheville for all its amazing food, music, and beer. We provide the luxury of electricity, heat and air conditioning, with a little taste of being off grid with a composting toilet and an outdoor solar shower bag.
“Haley's cabin is situated south of Asheville, conveniently close to the Blue Ridge parkway. The location is remote and therapeutically calm. The only sounds were from the different birds in the dense foliage or the crackle of the fireplace, unless you used the turntable to listen to some of the classic vinyls Haley has stored. It is a fine place to disconnect and relax. We have used the induction heater to cook food. It was convenient and surprisingly capable. The quantity of water supplied was adequate for the duration of our stay. The best part was lying on the deck watching the sky at night and waking up to the beams of sunlight filtering through the trees. Although a tad inconvenient, heating the water, filling the bag, and hoisting it up on a tree to take a shower only added to the off-the-grid experience.”
Mountaintop retreat with beautiful views of local mountain ranges. Cozy cabin with upper and lower levels accommodating up to 8 guests. Take in the views and relax on the wraparound porch. Great space for families or multiple couples. Convenient access to local amenities including restaurants, grocery stores, and our historic downtown area of Canton. 5 minutes to I-40 with easy travel to neighboring Asheville, Waynesville, and Cherokee. Located at the end of a peaceful and private road.
“The property was amazing! The view was more than we imagined! It was not like other rentals where cabins are on top of each other! You are able to relax and enjoy the views with tour family without distractions from others nearby! The house is perfect! It has two floors, both equipped with a kitchen, common area, bedroom and bath. It came with everything- they even had band aids in the closet for guests! The decor is spot on! I was impressed that they included Disney+ on the Ruku! The communication binder was helpful in regards to restaurants and outings! Kevin was also quick to respond (within minutes) when I had additional questions during our visit! The wrap around porch, fire pit, hammock, and FIRE FLIES were so peaceful at night after an eventful day outdoors! The bed and pillows were comfortable! I brought my own but didn’t even use them! I loved that they thought of kids and included plastic dinnerware for them! PIgeon River Outfitters is nearby and great for tubing! Otherwise, we drove approximately 30 minutes to go horseback riding, mini golfing, and gem mining! Most trails are 45+ but worth the drive! I’d highly recommend this property! We are already looking to book again!”
