A bamboo pyramid house located in the cool mountains of Valencia, Dumaguete. It is only about 20 minutes from downtown, Dumaguete. The house is surrounded by nature and a quiet and relaxing cool place to stay in the hills.
“Cheap, clean, very organized, practical place. Kind host. Also we got many advices from a guest named Charlie. There are many beautiful spots to discover around. Our favorite were the hot springs. The cons: the washing machine didn’t work when we stay there. We could give our laundry to the helper, who charged 30peso per kg, very cheep. Unfortunately we didn’t use the swimming pool as it seemed dirty and out of use. Still we had a great time here and we recommend the place. But do not expect luxury, the price is cheap because the place is simple, but very nice and with a big kitchen to share, where you get our own fridge, big plus +!”
Combination of native and modern house design, well lighted, ventilated and cool. A 3 minute (150m) walk to a clean gray sand beach with living colorful coral reefs. You need to wear slippers though as there are plenty of rocks. Fans are comfortable enough as there is plenty of breeze coming from sea and the property is surrounded by trees and plants. About 25mins commute to the city by jeepney or tricycle.
“Lynneths place is a fantastic nipa house with a very nice garden with old trees. I had a wonderful sleep with fresh air from the sea... Lyns family is really nice and guest friendly.”

“Riza's place is a wonderful place to stay especially if you are a beach lover. The place is for you privately even though you have the local neighbor's. They don't bite and doesn't even bother to talk to you. Her place is going through the hoops and loops of the small barrio but once you arrive at Riza's place, it is an amazing local native pad with all the amenities except for WIFI. Oh well, it is one reason why we chose her place to get out from the busy hustle and bustle of city life. No one is going to bother you except the dog (who is very friendly). He will be your guard dog the whole time you will be around the place. He will follow you wherever you go and will sit right next beside you. I have 5 dogs so I know what they like so much from you. TREATS. The local market has all the fresh food and stuff for your ingredients except you have to cook your meal in charcoal. The harder way but it's alright. Fun and time management, other than this thing, the ocean is all yours to play. We really had a good time and will be coming back soon.”
