My place is a private island. This is the perfect place for you to appreciate the wonders of the world that you could experience the magnificence living in one of the best island in Coron Palawan. You’ll love my place because of God's gift a real virgin nature with its natural sounds. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids), and even in a group.
“In the northeast of Clone Island, not far from the shore, you need to take a car to a nearby pier and take a boat for half an hour to reach the boat. The boat will pass by the famous El Rouma Island Hotel. An isolated island is a very unique experience. There are two houses on the island, one is a accommodation, there are two rooms, a bathroom and a sofa foyer. The other room is the kitchen and dining room and a small staff accommodation at the back, where they sleep in a small space. In fact, on the island, I ordered items in the morning and evening, and went out to play during the day. Here to see the manatees and the safari are relatively close, but you have to take a boat to the pier before taking a car to another pier before taking a boat. There is a famous sunken ship nearby for diving and watching corals. The sunken ship is a Japanese merchant ship over 100 meters long that sank in World War II. The cabin can be dived in. The long mast or chimney stretches from the bottom to the sea. It is very shocking. The steward aunt is a magical existence. The people in the nearby village docks seem to be her relatives. We have seen her son (diver guide), daughter (housewife in the seaside chalet), grandchildren (running around), sister (near the dock Family), brother (see the family we have lunch temporarily next to Manatee Pier). What you need to do, just tell her, she will arrange, and will finally check out with you. They have a van, and the driver is a big Han. The chef on the island is good. It is estimated that there are many Chinese guests, and he will also cook quickly. If he wants to cook by himself, he will also be very nice to help. Filipinos are fine.”
This small room (now with a new small private bathroom) is on Paolyn Houseboat that is located in the pristine, clear and clean water of Laknisan Lagoon also called Blue Lagoon just 500 mtrs from the famous Twin Lagoons and 100 mtrs from Hidden Lagoon, not far from Kayangan Lake. The Lagoon (where we have two houseboats) is 360 degrees sheltered that makes the water perfectly calm. Our Houseboats are the only accommodation and restaurant in Coron island and they are totally Off The Grid
“This is not a 5-star hotel but it truly gives you a 5-star experience. It was incredible to stay in the middle of all the beauty that Coron has to offer. We stayed 4 days and did not want to leave! Why we loved it: - Paolo was a great host. Great communicator and he provided a ton of information and what to expect. - We were taken care of from the moment we landed and left. They arranged for airport transfers by van and speedboat. It was pretty easy. - Obviously the best thing is BEING IN THE LAGOON. It was so beautiful to sleep and wake up in the middle of such beauty. The surroundings were all torquoise waters, green nature and blue skies! - The room was actually very comfortable. We had a private bathroom with organic/biodegradeable shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Everything was spotless clean and comfortable! - There’s a floating restaurant in the houseboat which is amazing to dine at day or night - both for the view / ambiance AND the food. - The food was incredible. You’d expect very few options since you’re in a houseboat, but no - they’ve got a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner - with appetizers, desserts and drinks. I obsessed over eggs and tocino for breakfast, grilled fish and vegetables for lunch, and grilled chicken for dinner. There’s a good selection of wine, beer and cocktails. I had fresh coconuts and mango smoothies daily, and also had leche flan for dessert. My partner said the pasta was amazing. - in case you’re bored at dinner (which is never, especially with the view), they have a ton or board games for guests. - All kayaking, standup paddle boards, snorkeling gear are free to use for guests. And they give you tips on where to go exploring on your own. Even the kayaking and snorkeling around the boat is gorgeous - we saw beautiful fish and a turtle! - you can also book a tour / rent their speedboat to check out the top attractions with a guide. THE BEST PART IS THEY CAN TAKE YOU BEFORE ALL THE TOURISTS COME IN FROM TOWN!!! We had every gorgeous spot to ourselves for a couple of hours and left before boat loads of people came. THIS MADE OUR STAY VERY WORTH IT!!! - The boat is also set up very nicely with lounge beds in case you just want to stick around and enjoy the view and some cocktails. - At night you can lie on the rooftop lounge and enjoy the stars - Last but not least, Paolo and the staff are the most hospitable people you’ll ever meet. Members of the local tribe work at the house boat so it’s extra special to be welcomed by the locals who own the beauty that was around us. Everything was done with so much care - from our breakfast to our tours, to our coconut drinks, and our bed and towels. You are surrounded by people who care about giving you a 5-star stay. I honestly could keep going about how beautiful this place is and how incredible the staff were. Tips to future travelers: - Book this houseboat if you want to experience Coron to the fullest! - Stay more than one night if you can. That way you get to do a tour one day and just enjoy the houseboat the next day. Over several days, we saw people come in to stay only 1 night and regret it. - Take advantage of the free activities - kayaking, SUP boards and snorkeling. - I highly recommend doing one of the tours - we did the half day morning tour to Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, some snorkeling spots and a beach. These are some of the most photographed spots in the Philippines AND you get the privilege of enjoying these places BEFORE the crowds come in. So take their suggestion to get up early for 6:15am breakfast and head out by 7am to avoid the boat loads of tourists who come in and are screaming and jumping. - at the time we did this, The tour included the price of the speed boat, tour guide, your gear and fuel. Heads up that it doesn’t include the entry fees to the different places (if any). These fees go to the local tribe. - There’s unlimited drinking water. Do not bring single use plastic bottles. They’ll provide you drinking water! - Respect the houseboat rules - they’re pretty good about setting up solar panels, setting up good bathroom systems, eco friendly bathroom products and informing guests on how to keep our stay harmless on nature and keep our surroundings pristine. Use water sparingly. - This stay is great for families, couples and even groups of friends. - Keep this gem a secret. I am doing this review only because i had an incredible experience but I wish this hidden gem remains a secret so I can come back again!”

“Thank you so much Janette and Simon. We loved staying with you in your lovely home and can see why you are Super Hosts! From the beginning of booking online the communication was excellent and helpful. This is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at and will be recommending all our friends to stay here and visit Culion island. The house - Is absolutely gorgeous. We had the most beautiful room overlooking the water and it felt like complete luxury. The house is located on the water amongst a gorgeous village and we loved hearing the sounds of occasional karaoke, music, laughter and morning roosters within the village. We loved walking the outside street with the friendly locals and street stalls. The locals are the most friendliest and most genuine people we met during our 3 weeks in the Phillipines. We felt very safe walking into town and it was also easy to grab a cheap taxi ride back and forth. We also enjoyed just having a cold beer in the afternoons on the deck watching the sunsets. Location - I recommend rather then staying in busy Coron to venture out to Culion. It is approximately 45 mins with the jet cat from Coron port. Food. We ate mostly at Janets, as the food was fantastic and Janet serves traditional Phillipines food. I look forward to trying the Cassava fries on our next visit! Things to do - Simon and Janet have a great boat that you can rent out for the day with a driver. I recommend you take advantage of this opportunity to explore the near by sites and also their local knowledge of places to go snorkeling or diving. We enjoyed the town tour with Pastor Hermie, Learning the history and visit to the museum. We also did a day trip to Bam Bam beach with Janet and Simon. I hope this magical place stays a bit of a hidden secret as it’s untouched, beautiful and very unique. Janet was was very helpful in organising transfers for us. She has contacts in Culion to help with transfers to the airport ect. Thanks again Janette and Simon. You went out of your way to make our stay with you excellent! Till next time Michelle and Dallas :)”
