Wake up to peace and tranquility amid wood finishes in a space with a soaring custom cathedral ceiling, an upper level loft, a deck walkout, and a cozy outdoor swing bench. Energize for the day with a dip in the cold plunge and unravel for the night in the infrared sauna. We have an enhanced cleaning policy to ensure guest safety and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times that includes: A top notch HEPA filter, spraying or wiping disinfectant on all surfaces and washing laundry with hot water and bleach. This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Cozy Modern Cottage with Quiet Back Yard

This one bedroom home is very cozy but with plenty of room to stretch out and truly relax. Guests will have access to the entire house Carole and Kerry live nearby and will be at your service should you need anything. Plum Cottage is in the Zilker Park neighborhood. Go for a run on the nearby trails or take a dip in the cool waters of world famous Barton Springs. The cottage is close to great tacos and a true honky-tonk for dancing. If you do not have a car we recommend using Urber to get around. There is also a bus stop only one block away with an express route to downtown. There are several resturaunts, coffee shops and a Walgreens within a few minutes walk.
