Just a stone's throw from the beautiful forest lake St. Øksø. The perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking in Rold Forest and Rebild Hills or as a quiet shelter in the tranquility of the forest, from which life can be enjoyed, perhaps with the mouse owl hovering over the meadow, the squirrel darting up the tree trunk, a good book in front of the wood stove or coziness in the firelight at night.

As a tenant with us, you will be staying in a newly built annex. The annex is located on a natural plot in the woods with the golf course as the nearest neighbor and close to Aalborg, 15 minutes to the city bus. Whether it's a city vacation, golf, mountain biking, road cycling, you have plenty of opportunities to meet your needs here with us. We are happy to help you with good advice if you ask. The home is part of a 3-wing farm with its own private and enclosed garden with adjoining terrace. The home is located in rural surroundings but at the same time close to shopping and Silkeborg city. The home is located right on the highway but has soundproofed windows. But noise from traffic is to be expected - especially on weekdays and at harvest time. There are 2 km to shopping and 7 km to Silkeborg city center. Everyone is welcome. Finally, ask for suggestions for hiking, activities or dining

Newly renovated large and bright room on 1 floor with fantastic views (and with the possibility of 2 extra beds in addition to double bed) and newly renovated smaller room with vaulted ceilings on the ground floor - also with nice views and double bed. There is also a large living room with the possibility of "cinema" hygge with large canvas, a game of table football or just pure relaxation with a good book. The bathroom is on the ground floor. There is a nice sofa bed and good box mattresses.

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.

New private cottage from 2018 with a beautiful view and location, which we rent out, if you want to take care of it:) Everything is bright and welcoming. The house is really nicely located on the property with a fantastic view over the seasons in Mols Bjerge. There is a large kitchen/living room and living room with wood stove, bathroom and three nice rooms with bunk or double beds. There is a huge terrace to the south and west around the house.

Beautiful newly renovated holiday apartment located in the basement level. The apartment is equipped with 2 box mattresses and a sofa bed that can be made into a double bed There is a new kitchen and bathroom. Close to forest and nature. Walking distance to supermarket (Rema 1000). Large playground available a few meters from the house (Skåde School). Beautiful viewpoint at Kattehøj hill, which is a 10-minute walk from the house.

Our location is close to Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital and in walking distance from the beautiful beach and forest. Shopping centre and direct bus line to city centre is a few minutes' walk away. Our double room is nice and quiet with private parking, private entrance, studio kitchen and private, separate bathroom. We hope that you will enjoy your stay in our house.
