“La luz, as my favorite Airbnb experience, reminds me everything I like about Airbnb. I am having trouble putting into words just how beautiful La Luz truly once you see it is in person. As soon as you arrive, it becomes obvious that this Airbnb was the owners labor of love - every design detail intentional, all of his decorations serve a purpose. Aaron really cares about his guests, I can tell from the first message he send to the last, from everything he picked for the home, from a piece of art, to utensils, to cook wares, to the mattress, to the lights, to every piece of the furniture...It speaks to the type of person Aaron is, kind, tasteful, passionate, detail oriented... His place is remote and private, offering tranquility and the feeling that time has slowed down. There are fruit growing in the front yard, toucan flying through the trees. Beautiful butterfly hanging around all the time. Not only I appreciate all the beauty La luz has provided us, also the beauty of interaction with beautiful human. The property manager Chandra, she is such a care, loving, sweet, wise, cool, fun, amazing work being. We will never forget the time we spend with her. She invited us twice to her beautiful balcony, we sit there in front of the epic view of the valley, talking about her travel stories, our exploration, all the stories and thoughts regards to love... The second time she invited us to dance with her, we played our music and she is able to dance with any kinds of music. She was very patient and nice to teach me some balinese dance...The time we spent with Chandra was just simply inspiring, peaceful, beautiful and meaningful. Our experience in CR would not have been as immersive or special without Chandra’s guidance and hospitality. All in all, both the host and house exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful we landed where we did with La luz. It inspired what do I want my future home to be. We will definitely miss Chandra and La Luz, so we will definitely be going back.”

“Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and I can tell you that we really enjoyed this place. We are both from Costa Rica and wanted to have some days off the rush of the city and this was a great place to stay. It was very quiet and relaxing, the pool is very nice and there is a lot of nature around. You can hear the Morete River from here. The Orange Hose is amazing: super clean, very stylish, with lots of nice details and the outdoor shower is amazing! Udo is very nice and a great host. He helped us with many tips on what to do, where to eat, what beaches to go (ask him about the path to a hidden beach). We really appreciated his hospitality. We definitely recommend staying at the Orange House.”

“Our family of 5, my husband, cousin, toddler (2yr) , baby (11mo) and myself stayed here for one night. We checked in with Roy’s dad and he’s an incredible human being! He’s soooo sweet, attentive and with great tips. He showed us the place and how everything worked. We immediately fell in love with the house, it’s small but very comfortable. Very stylish and high tech. We enjoyed how close the place is to the beach and how quiet it was at night time. The house comes equipped with everything you’ll need from coffee, sugar to shampoo and body soap. At checkout Roy dad made sure we had everything and when I told him I desperately wanted a guanabana he showed me he’s tree and wanted to share the fruit with me but hadn’t ripen yet. 😔 was a great gesture though. I definitely recommend this place and if I ever come back to Costa Rica, will definitely look Roy up again!”
