It's only minutes from the southern gateway to the New River Gorge and about 40 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort. Close to everything but away from it all!

DVD player for rainy days and an assortment of movies available. Close to some of the finest recreational facilities in WV.

All River Fields guests will have private river access about a tenth of a mile down the street from the Castaway, to put in kayaks and rafts. It is a short walk or drive to the river. This is Cookie Top Mountain Chalet. We wanted to create a place where not only families, but also their fur babies could enjoy, although we do have a 2 dog maximum. To experience the elegance of the majestic views from our cabin, please plan for travel over a brief period of gravel roads. We recommend an SUV or front wheel drive capable vehicle.
