The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

On the Hidaard mound, you stay in the stylish front house of our old farmhouse, with its own entrance and facilities. Our house features a spacious kitchen and 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms. If you book for 2 people, you will get the lower floor, i.e. the kitchen and 1 bedroom. If you want to use 2 bedrooms, you must book for at least 3 people.
