Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat

This private and completely separate 300 square foot space is located 100 feet behind the main residence. Enveloped by mature forest, you feel as though you are staying in a treehouse. The loft features hardwood floors, internet, queen sized bed, cozy sitting area and kitchenette. Marj's attention to detail and love of vintage finds is evident in the charming and welcoming space. Relax and listen to the water trickling in the pond outside your room. The loft comfortably accommodates singles, couples, children or a third adult. Amenities: The loft comes equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffeemaker, hot water kettle, and mini-fridge and is stocked with coffee, tea, yogurt and granola. There is a comfy queen-size bed and also a twin blow up Serta mattress with an internal pump that maintains pressure at your desired comfort setting. You can work or eat at an expandable table that has two comfy chairs. Internet tv is also provided. Luggage racks and an ironing board are stored in the closet. Wander this beautiful property and explore the unique and exotic garden offerings. You’re welcome to schedule a private tour of the grounds with Nick, owner and lead gardener. Your privacy is respected. You can remain quietly nestled in your getaway, and come and go as you please. Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat is located in the center of Bainbridge Island, about 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. It is minutes from Pleasant Beach Village and the newly renovated Lynnwood Center including the Tree House Café and Historic Lynnwood Theatre. The Village includes fun shops, a wine bar and various restaurants including the lovely Beach House Restaurant. Near and dear to all Islanders hearts, is Walt’s Grocery where you can pick up necessities and sample Walt’s home beer brews and large selection of wines. If you care to venture further, you can visit the Grand Forest, acclaimed Bloedel Reserve, golf courses, quaint downtown Bainbridge Island and the new and highly acclaimed Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Nearby towns include Poulsbo and Port Townsend where more shopping, touring and eating are plentiful. And of course, Seattle is only a 35 minute ferry ride away! Drive on the boat or arrive from the Kitsap Peninsula. If you don’t want to hassle with a car, grab a taxi from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal or ride your bike (storage is available). Flowers To-Go During much of the year your hosts run Fletcher Bay Flowers, a flower stand atop their drive. The stand is a favorite of locals and always boasts a plethora of whatever blooms are in season. Eats Your hosts will make sure your place has a few breakfast basics for your morning including coffee fixings, granola and yogurt. You can plan your day while sipping your morning coffee!

CIAO!! I have a lovely studio apartment on the ground level of my house. It's newly remodeled. Very private, quiet, and bright. You'll have the place to yourself, but if you need anything, I live upstairs! There's TV, WI-FI and FM/AM radio. The studio apartment is comfortable and cozy. The bed is a Queen-size. Additional Amenities: Fully stocked kitchen Hair dryer (on request) Large back yard Friendly neighbors Out Door Firepit* *(Must have permission in advance to use) The House has a central heating system (the control unit is located in the upper level of the house). There is an additional heater that can be turned on or off as you like. There is a small kitchen with double burner, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker with free coffee! The refrigerator is stocked with water and soda. Full Bathroom with bathtub. All sheets, towels, paper supplies for kitchen and bath are supplied, as well as towels and bed linens. There's really so much to do that you'll probably have to narrow it down. If you are looking for outdoor activities, there are many hiking trails in the two close by mountain ranges. Seattle is known for it's theater scene, live music and restaurants. Too many to enjoy in a short visit, but you'll have your pick. Right here in the West Seattle neighborhood, within one mile there are many restaurants, bars, shops, live theater. Shopping mall is 5 min away: Target, QFC, Barnes & Noble, Marshall, Bed Bath & Beyond, and more. Downtown Seattle is about 7 miles, Alki beach 4 miles, SeaTac airport 8 miles. The public transportation is the METRO bus system, car sharing, uber and lyft. Minimum stay, two night. Additional Guest can sleep on the couch or ask for the air mattress. Kids under the age of 10 years old can stay for free with a parent supervision. (Please do not invite extra guests. This rental is for the original guests only, and not suitable for parties or any other social activities including more than the original guests).

You'll find it a peaceful and quiet respite from a busy day of sightseeing. The whole studio is yours and you have a separate entrance on the side of the house. You have a coded lock, so you won't need to coordinate check-in with us. We are happy to answer questions, help out with your plans, or chat, but you can also do your own thing if you prefer. The home is situated on a quiet, tree-lined block surrounded by mid-century architecture with a view of Puget Sound. Walk to Lincoln Park's woods, playgrounds, fields, and beach with West Seattle's main drag only a short drive away. We are just a block from the bus that takes you down to California Avenue's shops, restaurants and theaters. Or you can switch to the C to Downtown Seattle, which is a very quick and easy ride. Or, if you like a walk, you can simply stroll to the C bus to Downtown and stop at the excellent Cafe Lladro for coffee and pastries on the way. Uber and Car2Go are also great options. We have an amazingly sweet and cute doggie who spends a lot of time in the yard in the summer months. If you smoke cigarettes, please do so out front of the house rather than in the back yard. We are happy to provide you with a chair for that. Public and outdoor smoking of marijuana is illegal in the city of Seattle.

Hummingbird Cottage in Quiet Residential Arbor Heights

We are 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown with easy access to the beaches at Alki and Lincoln Park. Your quiet backyard refuge is newly remodeled with everything you’ll need for a weekend or a month. We are just a half block from the bus stop and access to Seattle’s great transit system. Whether you’re here for Business, visiting family, or on holiday, Hummingbird cottage should fill the bill. You have off street parking and the entire space to yourself, with laundry facilities and a full kitchen at your disposal. If you need a highchair or pack-n-play crib for your little one just let us know. I’ll be here to greet you (unless you come in very late), in which case I’ll give you the code for our August Bluetooth lock to get in when you arrive. We’re only 50 feet away if you need us but will give you your space if you don’t. Arbor Heights is a tranquil neighborhood halfway between the airport and downtown, plus only a few minutes from grocery stores, restaurants. and parks with amazing views. Alki and Lincoln Park beaches are also easily accessible. Seattle is a good city to get around in by car but if you’re going downtown you might want to leave the car and catch the 21 bus to save the parking hassle and cost.
