There are various hiking trails right in the vicinity, such as the Rosenwanderweg (33 km), through the Haselbachtal and the Wutachschlucht. (Entry for the Gorge Trail). Within walking distance there is a small shop for everyday needs and a restaurant with good home-style cooking and pizza specialties.

You can borrow a bicycle for small tours for 5€ / day
