Shopping facilities can be reached in five minutes. The quiet location invites you to hike, cycle and go on excursions. Kassel, Eisenach and Göttingen are less than an hour away – ideal for relaxing days in nature. Whether hiking, biking, paddling or swimming in the nearby solar outdoor pool, there is room here for the perfect vacation with family or friends - or for small family gatherings.

The red construction trailer on the outskirts of the village offers comfort for your time out. Time to unwind and enjoy the simple life in nature. Beautiful hiking trails invite you to explore. Hills, lakes or forests - you choose. The construction trailer has everything for a relaxed atmosphere: washbasin, stove, refrigerator. You can relax in the double bed 1.40 cm or on the cozy sofa. In winter you shower in our separate apartment. The wood-burning stove keeps you warm.

Vacation in the countryside

On our listed 300 year old farm we offer: two separate apartments for each 4 persons, with kitchen-living room, bathroom and bedroom with two floors each and about 50 square meters each. We are situated in the Südeichsfeld, a plush hilly low mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, a visit to the bear park Worbis or excursions to nearby half-timbered cities are popular excursion destinations.

There are many opportunities to sit and relax in the garden. EDEKA market with bakery are on site.

The annex was completely expanded in 2019. It has become a real gem and we are pleased to offer this modern guest apartment in a prime location. In the immediate vicinity is the swimming lake at the leisure center, but Lake Werra is also just a short walk away. On the way there is an EDEKA supermarket. And the city center of Eschwege can also be reached in 25 minutes on foot. Around Grebendorf there are a number of hiking and cycling trails.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
