The abbey is a unique place of recreation and spirituality. The region is a paradise for enthusiasts and explorers of volcanology and Roman times. Breathtaking sections through some mountains of the Eifel, as well as huge excavations from Roman times and medieval castles along the river Rhine are waiting to get studied by keen visitors. You can reach the cities Bonn, Cologne, Koblenz, Mayence, Frankfurt on the Main, Treves, Luxembourg and the central Rhineland with it's famous world cultural heritage within two hours driving by car. Lovers of hiking or mountainbiking are able to explore the surroundings even without need of a car. Even though a car is needed to reach the surrounding cities as public transportation is not very good. Whereas the highway is just five minutes away from the appartment. A grocery store just as various farmers selling their produces directly to the people are located in the city to provide our guest with food and other everyday commodities. The big garden invites you to relax and enjoy the marvelous view overlooking the complete Rhine Valley reaching to the tops of the Siebengebirge near Bonn. When you receive the key we ask you for € 25 cleaning deposit. You will get back, if the room is tidy when you leave. You will find our apartment using our name in the internet.

The house was built in 1964 by our grandparents and was substantially renovated in 2023. Burgbrohl is a local municipality in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate. It belongs to the associated municipality of Brohltal. Burgbrohl is a state-recognized tourist location. Nearby is Lake Laach, in the Volcanic Eifel, near the Maria Laach Abbey. This caldera lake is the largest lake in Rhineland-Palatinate. Like the Maria Laach Abbey, it belongs to the local municipality of Glees. From Burgbrohl you can quickly reach Koblenz, Bonn, Cologne and the Nürburgring.

Our day spa is adjacent to a vacation home, yet enjoys complete privacy. In the main room there is a bed 1.60 x 2.00 m a double whirlpool tub, infrared cabin, shower, toilet, TV, sitting area and a small kitchenette. Refrigerator (minibar), kettle, coffee machine, glasses, cutlery, plates. Through the garden you get to the sauna. Outdoor shower, seating and lounging in the garden. Privacy fence and darkening windows. Candles, bathrobes, towels, tea and coffee are included.

Our new furnished and spacious apartment with separate entrance has a kitchen, hallway, bathroom, bedroom with double bed and a living room with couch and another single bed. In addition, the permanent shower couch can be used as a bed. The modern bathroom continues to offer a shower. In the kitchen you will find a stove with ceramic hobs as well as an oven with convection and a separate microwave. Seating outside on the balcony for breakfast or grilling.
