Best Corner Uptown; Walk to Audubon Park; Ride Streetcar

This home is located in one of the very best neighborhoods in New Orleans and is within easy walking distance of the St Charles Avenue streetcar; two top-rated restaurants, a French bistro, several other casual restaurants, a wine shop, a cheese shop, a grocery, a neighborhood bar, two banks,, a hair salon, a nail salon, a dry cleaner and much more! Built in 1900, the home is accessed by the brick stairs leading to the porch landing and double beveled glass doors. There is plenty of on-street parking just outside the front doors. You are invited to relax and make yourself at home. Yes, you may play the piano! (It was just tuned!) In the building, 2nd floor only (it's plenty of space at 1700 sq ft). Guests are also welcome to enjoy the covered sitting area, the patio and garden and the grill, if desired. Use of the basement or third or fourth floors are not permitted for this rental. I am available by phone or text when needed, but want you to enjoy your privacy, so will not visit without an invitation. There are instructions inside the apartment and also a listing of recommended dining options and music venues. I have travelled to many countries and enjoyed the hospitality from people all over the world. It is my great pleasure to host fellow travellers in my home! Welcome!! Jeanie The house is in an area with some of the finest architecture in New Orleans. It’s one block to the streetcar and steps away from excellent cafes, restaurants, shops, and markets such as Zara's Lil' Giant Supermarket. This is the best walking neighborhood Uptown. Even Magazine street is only 6 blocks away. You can Uber or Lyft anywhere outside the neighborhood or take the streetcar to your destination and Uber or Lyft home I cannot say enough about the location of this apartment and the spaciousness and scale of the architecture.

You will be given the access code to keys with your reservation. The front porch, laundry room and back yard are shared. The remainder is private. The house is in the heart of the oldest part of the famous Treme neighborhood, just four blocks from the French Quarter and the street car line. Location, location, location ... bike rentals in the French Quarter (4 blocks) ... bike lanes on Rampart (4 blocks) and Esplanade (1 block) ... new streetcar line on Rampart ... connecting you to any historic neighborhood or park WITHOUT GETTING IN A CAR. Of course there's Uber and Lift. Free street parking. All beds and furnishings are brand new. We're stocked to the brim with almost anything you can think of. Restored Cottage Two Blocks from a Mardi Gras Parade Route

Recently renovated Creole Cottage 2 blocks to St. Charles Ave / streetcar line, minutes to the French Quarter, Garden District, and Uptown area. Includes many original historic features (hardwood floors, decorative brick fireplaces, high ceilings). This is a duplex. Other side may be available for rental for larger traveling parties. Inquire if interested. Guests will have full occupancy of the home, therefore full access to all amenities listed. This home is not owner occupied, but owner is local and will be available for any questions or concerns. This cottage is two blocks from St. Charles Avenue, a major family-friendly parade route during Mardi Gras and a main thoroughfare to get around the city. It's close to many restaurants and bars. A small grocery store is a five-minute walk away. The St. Charles Ave. streetcar will take you to the French Quarter and to the uptown area where you can visit Loyola or Tulane Universities and the can't miss Audubon Park (and zoo). Cost is $1.25 to ride. From there, jump on a bus to get to the other areas of the city. Free street parking is available. Bike Share station close by. Additional information about the home will be provided to ensure a comfortable and easy stay. Coffee and bottled water available.

"205" Cozy Studio on St. Charles Ave.

High ceilings with intricate plaster detail in a home that sits right in front of the trolley stop. You will love sitting on the amazing porch and just people watch, waving to passengers on the streetcar. A great experience to be right there on the Avenue under the 250 year old oak trees.
