Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.

From here: visit most of the Netherlands within 2 hours drive. Perfect for a family with one or two children. You will be renting the whole house, with garden. Bathtub in a fully niew bathroom ! On the second floor of a rebuilt traditional Waterland house is this beautifully renovated apartment, once used as a hayloft. Located in the protected natural area of the Zeevang polder land (EU Natura 2000), famous for its birds like godwits, spoonbills, and lapwings. The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km). Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn, and Alkmaar are never far away (5–30 min. by car).

Special shops within walking distance. Not to mention the culinary offers of the in surrounding places such as Volendam, Monnickendam and a pancake in Broek. Cultural trip to Amsterdam? Reachable by bus in just half an hour. Quietly enjoy the waterfront, also an option.

Our cottage is in one of the most beautiful Waterland villages, Broek in Waterland. It is located in a beautiful area, 8 km from Amsterdam. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk away, so you can be at Amsterdam Centraal in 12 minutes. The guest house itself offers everything you need during a vacation. In our guesthouse, it is wonderful to "come home" after, for example, a busy day in the city, or, for example, a bike ride along all the nice villages here in the area.
