Quiet, clean and relaxing space in my home in the Olomana subdivision at the base of Mt. Olomana in lovely and coveted Kailua. Spectacular views of Mt. Olomana. To stay here though, you must be a dog lover because you'll be greeted by Daizee (golden retriever), Murphy (chocolate lab) and Lulu (bordoodle (border collie/poodle)), my welcoming party. This room has a comfy twin bed with a memory foam mattress and also a comfortable roll-a-way bed which also has a memory foam mattress.
“Perhaps the best place I’ve ever stayed. On the surface, Susan’s house is sparkling clean and well kept. Many amenities were provided (including towels, shampoo, coffee) for us. Susan even has a binder with activity recommendations. On a deeper level, Susan is perhaps the most wonderful woman I’ve ever met. Staying with her and her beautiful dogs was one of the highlights of my trip. I recommend her place to anyone wanting more than just a place to stay and Susan made her home feel like my home.”
Escape to the quiet community of Waimanalo Beach. Stand alone cottage is the right mix of modern and beach. Lounge on the lawn & soak up the sun and mountain views. Pick some herbs from the garden to spice up dinner in the full kitchen. The cottage sleeps up to 4 between the queen bed and the pullout. Large bathroom. Enjoy your meals inside or on the patio. House is great for kids & there is even a kids table. There are lots of toys to take down to the beach which is just 2 houses away.
“We absolutely loved this place! It is evident that the owner put a lot of thought into creating a space that provided both comfort and all the amenities one could ask for. There were snacks provided on the table, as well as a guest binder with great information about the area (places to see and things to do). The sleeping area, living area, and kitchen are well-laid out so the studio feels spacious. The queen-sized bed is very comfortable. There are ceiling fans throughout the place, but there is also an AC unit, which did a great job of cooling the space. There is a good-sized flat-screen smart tv across from the bed with cable and apps to watch movies. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, dishware and other supplies; small appliances (coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, etc.); and a regular-sized refrigerator/freezer. There is a spacious bathroom as well, with access to towels, hairdryer, iron, and extra bathroom supplies. The patio has a nice table with umbrella and chairs and a small grill. The owner also provides lots of beach toys, beach chairs, cooler, and a collapsible wagon to carry it all in (which came in super handy for us). The place itself is a free-standing little guest house, so there are no common walls with any other building. It is very private and in a very quiet neighborhood. There is also private, gated parking right next to the entrance to the place. Washer and dryer are on the premises next to the main house on the property (as well as an additional yard area for guest use). The beach is an easy 3 minute walk to the end of the street. We went almost daily to the beach down the street, and as others have mentioned, it felt like being on a private beach with few people. There is a post office really close by, in case you need to mail postcards or anything else. The town of Kailua is about 10 minutes away, which has lots of restaurants and shops. We had a fantastic time and look forward to coming back here in the future!”
Private Hawaii Kai Studio with separate entrance and King Sized bed close to Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach and Makapuu Beach.
“We had a great time staying here. There were many amenities that we appreciated. The room and bathroom were clean when we got there and the fans kept the room nice and cool. Definitely reccomend if you’re looking for a great stay in Hawaii Kai.”
